The Clippers lost their second consecutive game in Indianapolis Friday night, 9-7 after a late game rally by the Indians.

Kyle Davies (9-8) made his final regular season start going 5 IP with five runs on 11 hits and three walks.

Davies had plenty of offensive support from the Clippers. Columbus took an early lead with four runs in the first. Jesus Aguilar, new signee Russell BranyanJustin Sellers and Ryan Rohlinger all busted out RBI for the big first inning.

The Indians put a run on the board late in the inning when Gregory Polanco hit a sac-fly to right field. Clippers led 4-1 going in to the second.

Columbus did not let up on Indianapolis in the second, adding to their lead. With two on Elliot Johnson hit a liner in to center field, bringing Aguilar home. Giovanny Urshela also scored on a fielding error to boost the Clippers to a five run lead.

Indianapolis continued to chip away at the Clippers lead. A homer in the second kept the Indians in the game.

Bottom of the third and a two-run homer brought Indianapolis within two runs of Columbus.

Indians continued to attack adding another run in the fourth. Davies closed out the fourth and pitched a scoreless fifth before being pulled.

The Clippers pulled out one more run in the sixth before being shut off the board by Indianapolis.

Between Tyler Sturdevant and Mark Lowe in the seventh, Indianapolis put up four runs to take the lead. With the Clippers offense on ice the Indians held on to their two run lead to win it 9-7.

The Clippers will attempt to avoid the sweep Saturday night before making the trip Home to face the familiar Toledo Mudhens.
