The Indians made a roster move today by promoting High-A Kinston outfielder Jordan Henry to Double-A Akron. To make room on the roster infielder Adam Davis was sent to Kinston.
Henry is in his first full season in the Indians organization after being selected in the 7th round of the 2009 Draft out of the University of Mississippi. He has been a tablesetter all season in Kinston, and leaves the Carolina League ranked 4th with a .333 batting average, 1st with a .438 on-base percentage, 6th with 14 stolen bases, and was tied for 4th with 30 walks. Last year at short-season Single-A he led the NY-Penn League with a .408 on-base percentage.
Davis played in five games with the Aeros since his promotion June 4th to fill the roster spot of new Columbus Clipper Jared Goedert. He batted .176 overall and showcased his versatility by starting at third base, center field, right field and left field in four consecutive games.
