Goodyear Notebook: March 18th
Sunday was a very short day at the Indians player development complex as they held a brief morning workout and then cut the players loose for the day. Due to a winter storm that rolled into the Phoenix area Saturday night that brought much cooler temperatures and lots of rain the main fields were unplayable for games, so the scheduled minor league games with the Rangers’ affiliates were canceled.
With no games yesterday there will be no recap posted later today on the games, but I have lots of notes to share from over the weekend, so onto the notebook…
Henry is out awhile: Outfielder Jordan Henry was not healthy for most of last season and at the conclusion of the 2011 season he had microfracture surgery on his right knee in September. His rehab has gone well this offseason, but the Indians are expected to be very conservative with getting him back into game action.
