Clippers Shutout 4-0
Columbus was shutout 4-0 on Friday night after a strong starting pitching performance from Pawtucket's Clay Buchholz who went 7.1 innings of shutout ball allowing just 2 hits, 1 walk and striking out 8.
Right-hander Tomo Ohka kept Columbus in the game with another quality start going 6 innings and allowing 2 runs on 8 hits, no walks and had 4 strikeouts. John Meloan pitched in relief and his struggled continued as he allowed 2 runs in 1.2 innings of work walking 3 and allowing 3 hits.
The Clippers managed just two hits, with Jordan Brown going 1-for-3 with a 2B and Andy Marte going 1-for-3 with a 2B. Infielder Jamey Carroll made his first appearance on his rehab assignment and went 0-for-3.
