With Mitch Talbot's dominant pitching outing, all it took was a pair sacrifices to give the Clippers a 2-1 vicory over Indianapolis.
Talbot (2-2) went seven innings, giving up four hits and striking out eight. He escaped a bases loaded no-out jam in the fifth without allowing a run.
Jared Goedert's sac fly in the first and Luis Valbuena's sac fly in the fifth were the only Clippers runs of the game.
Zach Putnam allowed one run in his one inning of relief. Josh Judy was brought on in the ninth and faced Gorkys Hernandez with the winning run on second base and two outs. He forced Hernandez to pop out and earned his 22nd save of the season.
After taking the first game at Victory Field, the West Division champions play one more in Indianapolis before coming back to Huntington Park for a four-game homestand.

Left-handed pitcher Matt Packer allowed six runs over the first three innings as the Akron Aeros fell to the Bowie Baysox 7-3 in the rubber match of a three-game series Wednesday at Prince George
