Game Recaps 6/25: Rayl dominates in Captains win

Mike Rayl was nearly untouchable on Saturday night at Parkview Field as Lake County defeated Fort Wayne 9-3. Rayl (5-2) tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, striking out eight for his fifth win of the season.
The Captains took jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Carlos Moncrief doubled to right field and moved to third on wild pitch. Another wild pitch from TinCap starter Adys Portillo scored Moncrief from third.
Lake put together a nice two out rally in the third inning. A walk to Moncrief kicked things off. Alex Monsalve tripled to left center scoring Moncrief as Lake County went up 2-0. A third wild pitch from Portillo allowed Monsalve to score making 3-0.
The Captains put up three more runs, all with two out in the fifth inning. Jesus Aguilar drew a walk. Giovanny Urshela singled to leftfield putting runners on first and second. Jordan Casas tripled to left center driving in a pair of runs giving Lake County a 5-0 advantage. Another wild pitch, this one by Deiber Sanchez allowed Casas to score, for a 6-0 lead.
In the sixth inning, the Captains continued the two out theme. LeVon Washington reached on a walk by Yegri Carvajal. Carlos Moncrief doubled for the second time, scoring Washington, as Lake County went up 7-0.
