Final 2013-2014 Winter Ball stats

Final 2013-2014 Winter Ball stats
February 25, 2014
Share via: Share: Facebook Share: Twitter Share: Google Share: Pinterest Share: Print Share: Email

Here are the final winter ball statistics for all Cleveland Indians players that participated in fall/winter ball action out in the Arizona Fall League, Australian Baseball League, Dominican Winter League, Puerto Rico Winter League and Venezuela Winter League during the 2013-2014 offseason.

Some of these stats may look different than what is listed on other sites, and that is because all playoff stats for the Latin American leagues are included in the final stats (MLB and MiLB do not include or tabulate playoff stats on their sites). Any player marked with an asterisk (*) next to their name has playoff stats included in their overall total. As always, many thanks to Arthur Kinney for the help with these!

Note, this stats listing will be housed in the "Stats" tab along the top of the page and under "Winter Ball".

Other players that had successful winter ball was Armstrong and Araujo. In limited action Sturdevant looked strong coming back from injury.

LOL, wow. It's like IBI is giving a giant middle finger to Native Americans here with that picture! Wowee gee willickers that is a loud image!

It's a flaming, bright red gigantic Chief Wahoo with like lasers shooting through the image. Sorry but I couldn't help but notice it.

Thanks for putting the stats together, though.

Personally the thing I've liked most from Aguilar the last two years is his walk rates: 10.5% in Carolina in 2012, 9.9% at Akron this year, and around 10.5% in winter ball.

Yeah, Aguilar's winter performance was nothing short of amazing.

Not only did he put up those huge numbers, but he did it after playing a full minor league season (130 games). By my count he had 766 ABs, over 865 PAs, and played in nearly 200 games (198)!

I'm sure others have done that but man, 68 winter ball games after 130 regular season and just kept on hitting throughout in impressive to me. Don't want to get too excited about winter numbers but nearly impossible not to.

Needless to say, Aguilar had a MONSTER winter! His performance was a huge step forward. Naquin, Price, Gonzalez and Colon also showed a lot.
