Despite errors, Indians outslug Dodgers in 14-8 win
GOODYEAR - The AZL Indians scored in five of their eight innings last night as the offense was in full swing in a 14-8 victory. Dorssys Paulino crushed a two-run homer in the bottom of the 1st to put the Tribe on the board early and gave them a lead they would not lose. Despite some pitching woes from starting pitcher Luis Lugo who went three innings and gave up four runs (three earned) and put on five base runners, the offense rescued the staff as they smacked six extra base hits and took advantage of most every opportunity.
Paulino was the offensive star going 4-for-5 with a double, home run and two RBI. Tyler Booth also had a fine showing going 3-for-5 with four RBI and showing a more patient approach at the plate last night. Catcher Eric Haase had three hits while third baseman Jorge Martinez and first baseman Ryan Battaglia each had a pair of hits.
