Coach's Corner '12: Greg Hibbard Part II
Coach's Corner is a weekly IPI premium feature which will post every Monday or Tuesday through the end of the year. It will feature interviews with coaches up and down the Indians system and discuss the development from some of the players they worked with this past season.
Short season Single-A Mahoning Valley had a disappointing 2012 campaign finishing 30-45 and in fifth place in the Pinckney Division in the NY-Penn League. But as always, the minors are not so much about the wins and losses, but about the individual talent that makes up a team.
This season the Indians had 13 players from the 2012 Draft make their organizational debut at Mahoning Valley. The talent level and value of those debuts varies from player to player, but it was a first look into the potential of a promising draft crop this season.
