Coach's Corner '12: Greg Hibbard
I recently had a chance to sit down with short season Single-A Mahoning Valley pitching coach Greg Hibbard and discuss a few of his pitchers on the Mahoning Valley roster. He has been in the organization for some time and has coached at every level, and his knowledge and expertise is of great value to the Indians at Mahoning Valley because so many new pitchers from the recent draft or young high school pitchers working their way into affiliate ball for the first time get to work with him. Q: Right-hander Robbie Aviles is in his first full season since recovering from Tommy John surgery in 2010. How has he been this year? Greg Hibbard (GH): He is really just solidifying some delivery changes that we tried to work on in spring training.
