Coach's Corner '12: Dave Wallace
I recently had a chance to sit down and have a short conversation with former Low-A Lake County manager and new High-A Carolina manager Dave Wallace. We discussed the end of the season at Lake County and some of the players that were key pieces down the stretch with getting them to the playoffs.
Q: You had the youngest team in the Midwest League this past season, and the struggles showed early with a ten-game losing streak in April and 31-38 record in the first half, but in the second half things came together as you went 40-30 and made the playoffs. What kind of transition did the team make from beginning to end that helped them be more consistent with their play?
