Coach's Corner '12: Chris Tremie
Coach's Corner is a weekly IPI premium feature which will post every Tuesday through the end of the year. It will feature interviews with coaches up and down the Indians system and discuss the development from some of the players they worked with this past season.
Double-A Akron had a great season from start to finish this year. They went 82-59 during the regular season and then marched their way through the Eastern League playoffs to win their fourth title in the history of their franchise.
Chris Tremie just completed his seventh season in the Indians organization as a coach or coordinator, and this past season was his second summer spent as the skipper in Akron. He has been working his way up the Indians coaching ranks and could be the manager at Triple-A Columbus next season to replace the departed Mike Sarbaugh who joined Terry Francona’s big league staff in Cleveland.
