IndiansProspectInsider.com is proud to introduce their new weekly foray into Cleveland Sports, Cleveland Sports Insider. It joins the cyberwaves tonight from 10:30pm – 11:30pm EST. The one hour show is hosted by Jim Pete and Steve Orbanek, and will air every Saturday.
This week's hot topic? Which Cleveland Team will be the next champion. The last? The Cleveland Browns in 1964, unless you want to count the Cleveland Crunch, who dominated the National Professional Soccer League in the mid-90's. Hey, you take what you can get.
The Cleveland Browns looked like a different team in week two. Brandon Weeden had a monster game, as did Trent Richardson. The defense...not so much, as the Bengals defeated the Browns, 34-27. Perhaps there is more to this Browns team than meets the eye, or perhaps not. Now, here comes the Buffalo Bills. Many think this is a winnable game for the Browns, but is it a trap game? Enter C.J. Spiller, the #1 rusher in the NFL. Is he doing it with smoke and mirrors, or is this rushing offense trouble for the Browns, as they welcome Spiller and the Bills to Cleveland Browns stadium.
Jim Brown is back in the fold...as he now welcomed Trent Richardson with open arms. Brown stated that he was only "trying to motivate" Richardson. Is it even important at this point that Jim Brown is a part of this team, or is this stuff just getting old.
Jimmy Haslam is also discussing putting a retractable roof on the stadium. There does seem to be a newbie and an old guard faction...one that love the idea, and one that hates it. Jim and Steve will discuss it thoroughly...and share their viewpoints.
The Cavs are playing in an interesting Central division this season. The Bulls are the cream of the crop, with or without Derrick Rose...but, if Rose isn't 100%, could this division be up in the air? The Pacers Bucks, Pistons and Cavs round out the division, in what could be an interesting season.
The Indians Ubaldo Jimenez got lit up like a pinball machine once again tonight, and the Indians offense was essentially shut down by the Fresh Prince of Bel Aire. Yes, Will Smith pitched well...and if you are thinking he's a lefty, you'd be right. The IPI guys will look at this rotation, and decided once and for all who the Indians are going to keep, and who they are going to dump. Jim also ponders how Ubaldo always seems to start on night he hosts the show...just maddening.
Next week's hot topic? We'll be looking at who was Cleveland's most influential athlete...of all time. Is it Jim Brown? Is it Lou Boudreau? Is it Nap Lajoie? Is it Bob Feller? Is it...he who shall not be named? What about Tris Speaker...or Otto Graham? Take a look back in time, and help us figure out who this may be?
Week three of CSI...is nearly here...
