EASTLAKE - The Captains fell to the Loons for the second night in a row, 7-1. The Captains dropped Saturday night's game to The Loons as well, falling 8-3.

The Loons started it off first with two runs in the top of the second from first baseman Tyler Ogle and designated hitter Aaron Miller

The Captains were able to get one on the board, via second baseman Todd Hankins, in the bottom of the first.

Great Lakes came right back, though, scoring two more runs in the top of the sixth. Both of those runs came from second baseman Kevin Taylor and left fielder Malcolm Holland

And the Loons didn't wait long to add on three more insurance runs in the top of the seventh. Those came from shortstop Brandon Trinkwon, third baseman Brandon Dixon and another from Holland.

Jake Sisco started for the Captains, he allowed four hits, four runs, walked two and struck out four. Jack Wagoner came in to relieve for Sisco, he allowed two hits, three runs, walked one and struck out one.

Indians pitcher Josh Tomlin came in at the top of the eighth to relieve for Wagoner. Sunday's game was Tomlin's second rehab appearance for Lake County, and he threw just 12 pitches in his one inning of play, compared to the eight he threw in his first appearance.

"Every time you pitch, eight pitches, 12 pitches, 25 pitches, it's one step closer," said Tomlin about his rehab appearance.

Grant Sides came in to finish things off for the Captains, and allowed just one hit.

Miguel Sulbaran started for the Loons, he struck out three while he only pitched for three innings. Jonathan Martinez came in to relieve for Sulbaran, he allowed three hits, one run, walked two and struck out two.

Martinez was given the win for the Loons and Sisco took the loss for the Captains.

The Captains and the Loons continue their four game series Monday at 7pm.
