Bourn placed on paternity list, Hagadone recalled
The Cleveland Indians announced today that the club has placed outfielder Michael Bourn on Major League Baseball's three-day Paternity List and recalled left-handed pitcher Nick Hagadone from Triple-A Columbus to take Bourn's place on the 25-man roster.
Bourn, 30, is batting .299 (69-231) with 12 doubles, one triple, 2 homers, 15 RBI and 33 runs scored across 56 games this season. He also ranks 2nd on the team with 11 stolen bases (11-for-16).
Hagadone, 27, has gone 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA (15 ER/25.0 IP) in 27 relief appearances for Cleveland across 3 previous stints. He was optioned to Triple-A following his most recent outing on Thursday at Baltimore (1.1 IP, 0H, 0 R) and has gone 1-1 with a 2.00 ERA (2 ER/9.0 IP) in 7 relief appearances for the Clippers this season.
