The Headliner
The predominantly teenage Tribe went 4-2 on the week and while their defense was stagnated with errors early in the week, they cleaned up their act late in the week with a pair of errorless showings. The offense was rolling, per usual, though the bullpen eventually dropped games to the AZL Giants and A’s late as the week concluded.
Player of the Week: Claudio Bautista and Anthony Santander
There are two co-players of the week for Week 6.
Claudio Bautista, hitting a lethal .518 this week (14 for 27), has been as hot as they get in the AZL. The second baseman-utility type infielder now has a slash of .318/.412/.519. Bautista is an emotional player—he wears the game on his sleeve—so when things aren’t going well, they really aren’t going well.
