Aeros drop second game to Senators 4-1
Senators score two runs in bottom of the eighth to secure victory

Harrisburg, PA- For the second night in a row the Akron Aeros fell to the Harrisburg Senators. Akron trailed by one run most of the game until the Senators secured their lead by scoring two more runs in the bottom of the eighth to make the final score 4-1.
Facing off at the mound was RHP Nathan Karns (4-3) for Harrisburg versus Aeros righty Jordan Cooper (3-3).
After a scoreless first inning, Harrisburg picked up the pace and scored the first run of the game. The Senators' Jose Lozada hit a hard double to right field and knocked in Destin Hood, who reached first base with a leadoff single.
The Akron Aeros answered with a run in the top of the fifth inning after Carlos Moncrief hit a one-out solo home run to deep right field to tie the game. The home run was the 10th of the season for Moncrief.
The excitement was short-lived however as Harrisburg answered with a leadoff home run by Rick Hague to bring the score to 2-1 in the Senator's favor.
Despite some small action from the Aero's lineup, including a single in the 7th inning by Aeros Giovanny Urshelaand an eighth inning single by Jake Lowry, the Aero's couldn't make a comeback. The Senators scored two more runs in the bottom of the eighth inning on a combination of hits and some wild pitches thrown by Aeros reliever Cole Cook.
The two teams meet again Wednesday night in Harrisburg at 7:05 p.m.
