Triple-A Columbus outfielder Tim Fedroff is once again having another banner season in the Indians' system. Has he done enough to get noticed and will he get an opportunity in the big leagues before the end of this season? Time will tell. Ubaldo Jimenez continued his very disappointing season for the Indians this year with another poor outing last night in the Indians 9-6 loss to the Angels. The Angels put up four quick runs in the first inning to stake Zach Greinke to a 4-0 lead and it was pretty much smooth sailing from there. William Biggar shares his second thoughts on the game.

Who is the top shortstop prospect in the Tribe's farm system? With every passing day, Dorssys Paulino is making a case that he deserves to be right up there with Francisco Lindor. Tuesday was no different as the 17-year-old Paulino might have just had his best offensive performance yet. Niles, Ohio isn’t usually the place to be. But for one night, it was. At least it was for the elite of the New York-Penn League, as they gathered to take part in the New-York Penn League All-Star Game on what was a rainy August evening. Joining them were several thousand of their family members, closest friends, and biggest fans, as Eastwood Field played host to it’s first ever All-Star Game. Matt Miller recaps the game.

The Carolina Mudcats (26-24) were stifled by Frederick Keys (23-26) starter Devin Jones as they fell to the Keys 5-2 on Tuesday night. Jones tossed six scoreless innings and was backed by five runs to allow the Keys to take the first two games of the series.

The Akron Aeros put on a comeback performance to snag their 71st win of the season against the Harrisburg Senators, 2-1, on Tuesday night at Metro Bank Park. Second basemen Matt Lawson, who went 2-for-2 on the night, hit a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning to push the winning run across for Akron in game one of the three-game series.

It was a quick, quiet night for the Columbus Clippers (64-60) on Tuesday night as they fell to the Durham Bulls (58-67) by a final score of 6-3. Both offenses were able to do some damage early. The Clippers struck in the first inning on an RBI double into deep left by right fielder Vinny Rottino.

Your Akron Aeros continued their march toward the playoffs over the past week and while they only went 3-4, they still had plenty of performances to pay attention to. From starting pitchers performing as well as they have all year to power outbursts from our favorite Canadian outfielder, Jim Piascik and Launching Off With The Aeros takes you through the week that was in Akron.

Pronk is heading to an all-to-familiar place...the DL, and it's likely his last trip there as a member of the Cleveland Indians. Which Pronk will you remember? Is it the pre-30 Pronk that was sure to destroy the Indians' home run record, or was it the post 30 pronk that spent most of his day iced up? Whichever side of the coin you land on, it's not hard to forget the many big moments. With that said, it's clearly time for Pronk to say goodbye to the Corner of Carnegie and Ontario.

The Indians bounced back from their embarrassing home loss on Sunday with one of their better played games of the last month on Monday night in a 6-2 win over the Angels in Anaheim. For whatever reason, the Angels have brought out the best in the Indians this year as they are now 5-2 against the Halos on the season. Adam McGavin shares his second thoughts on the game.

The youthful Tribe had all gears in motion on Monday night in a 10-2 beat down of the AZL Diamondbacks. Sean Mahon once again provides a firsthand update on the game action out in Arizona with insight into the performances of Doryss Paulino, Eric Haase, Tyler Booth, Claudio Bautista, Luis Lugo, Felix Sterling and others. Plus he has the news on when talented draftee Caleb Hamrick will make his pro debut out in the AZL.

The Indians system was full of off nights and rainouts, but the lower minors had a chance to shine, as the Carolina Mudcats and the AZLIndians showcased several of the Indians top prospects doing their thing. Giovanny Urshela continued his hit streak, while Dwight Childs rolled out three hits of his own. Dorssys Paulino had another four-hit game, while the guy at the top slot also made his mark as a future shortstop in the system. Find out who, after the jump...

The Carolina Mudcats (25-24), behind a huge night from catcher Dwight Childs, beat the Frederick Keys (23-25) 9-5 on Monday night to open a three game series. Righty Michael Goodnight took the mound for the Mudcats and struggled to find his command as he walked five batters in just four and one third innings of work.

Another week is in the boos for the Indians' Triple-A affiliate the Columbus Clippers, and they are still hanging around in the International League wildcard race. Andrew Holleran is here once again like he is every Monday with his notebook "Sailing with the Clippers" to recap the week that was for the Clippers.

Whew! What a week! At one point the Indians had four players designated for assignment (is that some sort of Major League record?). The Clippers roster ended the week standing at 22 (a few more callups sans countermove and we could be looking at the Grand Canyon of roster holes here).
