Second Thoughts: Game #98 - Tigers 5, Indians 3
The Indians rollercoaster ride of a season and inconsistent play showed up again last night as the offense was held to three runs on five hits, Derek Lowe was ineffective, and Asdrubal Cabrera made two crucial errors on the night In the end it all added up to a 5-3 loss to the Tigers, which means they have to beat Verlander today to salvage a series victory. Charlie Adams provides his second thoughts...

Rookie Notes: Booth impresses in AZL Indians loss
It was another series of unfortunate defensive events for the AZL Indians on Wednesday night as the team committed five errors on the evening, a rather discouraging event considering their six errors committed the previous night. Shortstop Dorssys Paulino made his 12th error on the season and has 12 errors in 24 games. In all it led to a 9-4 loss to the AZL Royals.

Around the Farm: July 25, 2012
Tim Fedroff continued his International League onslaught with a big doubleheader in which he had a hit in ever at-bat but one. Cord Phelps joined him with another hot night, Bryan Price had his best night of the season out of the pen, and Rob Bryson joined him with HIS best night out of the pen on the season. No beating around the bush though, ZEKE continues to hold fort at the top of ATF...

Fishing for Mudcats: "Floating to Nowhere"
The Mudcats can't find any consistency this season, other than to be consistently inconsistent. While the offense seemed to find their groove without their big bopper doing much of anything, their rotation and their bullpen did about what was expected, and tread water, reversing roles week after week. Tune into this week's Fishing for Mudcats, to see the High A Mudcats at their best...

Wives Tales: Minor league lifestyle is tough, but worth it
A lot of people think that being a minor league player or coach is a glamorous lifestyle, but that is far from the truth. The reality is that for those with families it requires a strong commitment from all parties involved while they deal with all of the travel, time apart, ever-changing living arrangements, and low pay. Tony recently sat down and talked to the the wives of Lake County coaches Dave Wallace and Jeff Harris to get their side of the minor league lifestyle.

Second Thoughts: Game #97: Tigers 2, Indians 3
Ubaldo Jimenez came up big in one of the most important games of the year for the Indians last night, and the offense gave him and the bullpen just enough to "squeeze" out a 3-2 win over the first place Tigers. It was a much needed win to start off an all important three-game series against the rival Tigers, and Charlie Adams provides his second thoughts on the game.

Six errors stir trouble for AZL Indians in loss
The AZL Indians looked the part of a rookie league squad last night as they committed six errors in the field and went 0-for-5 with RISP on the evening in a 9-2 loss to the AZL Cubs. Leaving six runners on base and striking out ten times on the night were part of the problem.

Around the Farm: July 24, 2012
Zeke Carrera is just killing it in Columbus, and like last year, may be the best player there right now. Juan Diaz is playing his best baseball of the season, and perhaps even of his entire career. Preston Guilmet is the iceman, and clearly doesn't let implosions effect him longer than about a minute. At the top of the heap is a guy that's used to leading the "pack." I know, mystic...so find out who it is...after the jump...

Scrapper offense delivers in 9-3 win over Crosscutters
The Scrappers racked up 17 hits en route to a 9-3-blowout victory over the Williamsport Crosscutters Tuesday night. The offensive output was probably the result of some frustration for an offense that has had some struggles as of late. In their three prior games, the offense had only managed nine runs on 17 hits, exactly their output Tuesday.
