After a five game freefall, the Scrappers hope to have put their early season struggles behind them, picking up a big 6-2 win against the Crosscutters on Tuesday night. The offense didn’t waste any time putting runs on the board, plating five in the first two innings. Juan Romero was the first to strike, driving a ball into the Scrapper bullpen in right field to give the Scrappers a 2-0 advantage.

The Indians are on the verge of announcing at least one signing in the next few days. Tony has the details on another high profile 2012 Draft pick that is set to sign with the Indians and gives some updates on a few other players that look likely to sign before the July 13th deadline.

The AZL Indians (1-4) lost a tough one last night to the AZL Cubs with a final score of 6-4. After leading the game through the first six frames, the wheels came off in the 7th as Tribe pitcher Alexis Paredes struggled. Sean Mahon recaps the games and has all sorts of tidbits from scouts in attendance on some of the players.

The deathly duo of a slumping offense and a struggling starting pitching staff showed for the third straight game on Monday night as the Indians were beat handily by the Yankees 7-1. In their last three games the Indians have now been outscored 22-3 and have lost three straight. Adam McGavin provides his "second thoughts" on last night's Rumble in the Bronx...

Luis DeJesus brought the business end of a eight strikeouts at Mahoning Valley. Alex Monsalve may turn out to be one of the most important prospects in the entire system with his clear, high learning curve. Russ Canzler has actually burst into flames, and Jeremie Tice had two more RBI's. Who topped ATF? How about a home-run hitting, right-handed bat...at least for one night.

The Aeros fell to the Curve 13-8, surrendering a split in the series with the Curve Monday night at People’s Natural Gas Field. Altoona shortstop Kelson Brown hit a pair of home runs to help the Curve defeat the Aeros in the series finale. Brown, who ended the day 3-for-3, entered the game in the third inning after shortstop Brock Holt was hit by a pitch and then ejected while walking up the first-base line.

The Lake County Captains drained the Dayton Dragons 8-3 on Monday as the Captains’ bats compiled 14 hits and took advantage of a trio of Dayton errors. All-Star Cody Anderson (4-4, 2.99) started for the Captains against Dayton’s Tanner Robles (4-5, 4.56), though Anderson did not pitch deep into the game.

After losing four straight, the Scrappers hoped a return to Eastwood Field would provide some much needed home-cooking. Despite a second straight strong start from Luis Dejesus , the Scrappers offense was unable to generate enough offense to give him a win as they lost 3-2 and dropped their record to 2-6 on the season.

The Carolina Mudcats (3-1) fell in a rain shortened game to the Frederick Keys (2-2) on Monday night ,1-0. A pitching duel between Michael Goodnight and Kyle Simon saw only one run scored in the game. The Keys were finally able to push a run across in the top of the eighth, as the first two runners of the inning reached and then first baseman Aaron Baker singled to left scoring third baseman Travis Adair.

It’s only been three games, but the on-field product the Columbus Clippers have displayed during their most recent winning streak could be a cause for concern for the rest of the International League. The Clippers won for the third-straight time Monday night, beating the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 7-3, to take the four-game series, 3-to-1.

The Clippers wrapped up another week of their season on Sunday, and for the first time in June, it was a winning one. Go "Sailing with the Clippers" with Andrew Holleran to get all caught up on the week that was for the Indians Triple-A affiliate, who is hot and who is not, and so much more.

The AZL Indians (1-3) dropped their third game of the season as they were outslugged on Sunday night, 12-9 to the AZL Athletics. Despite an early three spot put on the board courtesy of a bases loaded clearing triple by Eric Haase, the Tribe pitching struggled.

Double-A Akron outfielder Jordan Henry was recently activated from the disabled list after missing the first two months because he was rehabbing from surgery to his right knee. Now that he is back playing and is healthy again, he is looking to find consistency in his game and once again be a threat on the basepaths. Stephanie Metzger recently talked to him and gives us an update on how he is doing in his return.

The July 13th signing deadline for players picked in the 2012 Draft is fast approaching as it is two and a half weeks away. The Indians have already signed 18 of their 40 draft picks, but more are coming. In today's update Tony gives the details on where things are at with 8th round pick Caleb Hamrick and 26th round pick Justin Garza, two high profile pitchers in their 2012 draft class. He talked to Hamrick last night and a representative of Garza over the weekend and shares some interesting details on their signing status...
