Enter Father's Day, 2010. Somehow, I've managed to put together a day of insanity that includes fighting a stubborn patch of poison ivy in my backyard, painting my bathroom, sanding a new dresser, and welcoming my in-laws for a joyful week-long visit. Weaving in and out of that will be viewing what seems like 24 hours of golf, with the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach on the West Coast, along with the final...

Like every season, the Opening Day roster for the Scrappers will be much different from the roster that finishes the...

2010 Columbus Clippers: Outfield
When you get to the AAA level and take a look at each individual player they are generally grouped into one of two categories: quad-A/veteran, or legitimate big league prospect-in-waiting. Someone like Chris Gimenez is in the quad-A/veteran camp, whereas someone like Carlos Santana is obviously a big-league prospect. The thing we want to look at, is why they are viewed this way? Is it their minor...

Toregas, Indians Not Seeing Eye To Eye
It has been a tumultuous last couple of months for Cleveland Indians catcher Wyatt Toregas. Since learning at the end of spring training that he did not win a spot on the Indians opening day roster as the regular catcher his career has seemed to be on a downward spiral ever since.
When catcher Lou Marson was named the catcher who would hold the fort down in Cleveland in the short-term until...

Clip & Dirty: 6/15
The Clippers won their 40th game of the season behind a truly dominant team performance. Jeanmar Gomez went seven scoreless, Carlton Smith closed things out with little fanfare after that and the Clippers offense scored 11 runs on 18 hits. The win put Columbus 2.5 games ahead of Toledo in the IL-West and in a virtual tie with Durham for the best record in the IL overall.
Team Pitching: 0(0)...

The Norfolk Tides claimed victory over the Columbus Clippers, 6-3 on Monday night at Huntington Park in front of just over 9,000 fans.
