Just a quick reminder that today the MLB Draft commences. Dennis Nosco will be here throughout the day blogging and providing live updates and flash analysis on the Indians picks as they happen. Be sure to check in often for the latest on the draft.

The Day Before Tomorrow
The draft is now one day away. Just wanted to add a few names and things I have heard before the draft.
· Updates on other guys who the Indians might draft:
o Conor Gillaspie had an excellent regional upping his worth maybe above the 29th spot where the Indians draft.
o Andy Dirks, the leadoff hitter and centerfielder played really well for Wichita...

Lots of moves again today, the biggest being LHP David Huff being called up to Buffalo. This move is not official at the moment, but Huff is already en route to Buffalo. It is possible RHP Josh Tomlin will take Huff's vacated spot in Akron since he was only in Buffalo for a spot start tonight (7 IP, 3 ER....nice job).

Five Lake County Captains were named to the SAL All-Star game: Left-handed starters Kelvin De La Cruz, Ryan Miller and Ryan Morris, right-handed closer Vinnie Pestano, and outfielder Roman Pena.
The International League today announced that Bisons LHP Jeremy Sowers has been named the IL Pitcher of the Week for May 26-June 1. Sowers went 2-0 with a 0.69ERA in his two starts for Buffalo during...

Got word that Jeff Stevens was called up to Buffalo or will be in the next day or two. Nothing official yet, but will post something when/if it occurs. Also, with Stevens going to Buffalo supposedly TJ Burton would be joining Akron from extended spring training.

Huff, Bullpen Shut Down Baysox
AKRON, OH – Akron starter David Huff retired the first 11 hitters he faced and carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning, and the Aeros pitching staff struck out a dozen Bowie hitters in a 3-1 win Saturday night before 4,048 fans at Canal Park. The Aeros, winners of four in a row, jumped to 29-24 while the Baysox fell to 32-24. Akron pitchers have struck out...
