Carolina Mudcats strand nine runners, lose to Potomac, 3-1
After tallying five double, the Carolina Mudcats were unable to capitalize as they fell to the Potomac Nationals 3-1. Even with nine hits, Carolina couldn't get the offense going as it stranded nine base runners. Cole Sulser was saddled with the loss after pitching 5.2 solid innings while a strong relief performance from Jacob Lee provided no relief for the game's result.

Clippers fall to Bats, 12-4, move record to 2-7 on the season

Second Thoughts Game #11: White Sox 9, Indians 6

Mudcats late surge not enough, fall to Nationals 4-2
Despite keeping it close throughout and a late inning rally, the Carolina Mudcats were never able to take control of the game as they fell to the Potomac Nationals 4-2 on Friday night. Carolina (5-3) trailed by no more than one run until the seventh inning, when the team gave up three runs with the score tied at one to fall behind by more than they could catch up to.
