Ranking the 2014 roster at the All-Star Break, part two
There have been plenty of ups and downs for Cleveland so far in 2014, yet the team is entering the All-Star break at a perfectly average 47-47. There have been a few notable breakout stars and players performing above their true talent, but given the number of disappointments Cleveland's gone through, .500 actually feels pretty good right now. Long balls from Hendrix, Paulino power Captains in 6-3 win
The Lake County Captains doubled the Great Lakes Loons' four hits on their way to a 6-3 victory on the night of the MLB Home Run Contest. Nellie Rodriguez and Claudio Bautista each had two hits, while Paul Hendrix and Dorssys Paulino each had a home run. Jordan Milbrath picked up his third win for Lake County while James Stokes got the save.

Carolina Mudcats put up 4-run 6th to beat the Winston-Salem Dash
The Carolina Mudcats fell behind 3-2 before putting up four runs in the sixth inning to beat the Winston-Salem Dash, 6-4. Carolina totaled nine hits while giving up just six to the Dash on its way to the win. Clayton Cook got the win, Ben Heller was credited with a his first hold of the season, while Josh Martin picked up his first save of the year.

Akron RubberDucks score 3 in 10th to beat Trenton Thunder, 5-2
The Akron RubberDucks took the Trenton Thunder to 10 innings, and then piled on three runs for a resounding 5-2 victory. Alex Lavisky hit a two-run shot in the extra frame to cement the victory, earning Akron its 56th win of the season. Shawn Armstrong was credited with the win after Joseph Colon put up five innings of one-run ball.

Captains extend win streak to five, smack 18 hits
The Lake County Captains (14-9, 41-52) continued to swing a hot bat on Sunday night as they piled up 18 hits in a 9-7 win over the Great Lakes Loons (11-12, 45-48). The Captains have won five-straight games, their longest winning streak since June of 2013.

Duke Finds Trenton Hazardous In 5-1 Loss
Trenton’s Jaron Long worked into the seventh inning in his first Double-A start on Sunday, and led the Thunder to a 5-1 win over the Akron RubberDucks at Arm and Hammer Park.Long, who played his college baseball at Ohio State, held the RubberDucks (55-41) scoreless through the first six innings.

Offensive explosion powers Clippers to 9-5 win
The All-Star Break is a much-needed rest for all players, but it can be even more beneficial if a team ends the season’s first half with a win. On Sunday afternoon, the Columbus Clippers (53-46) did just that by beating the Indianapolis Indians (53-46) by a score of 9-5 to enter the break on a high.

Dash rally late to knock off Mudcats, 5-4
Behind an eighth inning rally, the Winston-Salem Dash came from behind to steal a victory from the Carolina Mudcats, 5-4, on Sunday. A three-run homer from Courtney Hawkins capped the comeback as the Dash ended Carolina’s five-game win streak.

Gomes powers Indians over White Sox, 3-2
For a first half of a season that featured so many highs and lows, Sunday's series finale couldn't have ended on a better note. Trailing Chicago 2-1 in the eighth inning, Yan Gomes stepped up and delivered when it mattered most. The Tribe catcher launched a go-ahead two-run homer just over the wall in right field to give the Indians both the lead and win, edging the White Sox, 3-2.
