The Indians had some interesting performances across their minor league system on Sunday, led by High-A Carolina outfielder Bryson Myles who is some kind of hot in the early going this season. The IBI's Tony Lastoria recaps all of the action both good and bad on the day in Around the Farm...

Big inning dooms Ducks in 7-5 loss to Baysox
Bowie’s Garabez Rosa smacked a three-run home run during a six-run fourth inning Sunday afternoon, and the Baysox slipped by the Akron RubberDucks, 7-5, before a crowd of 4,208, at Canal Park. Rosa, the EL leader in RBI, increased his total to 14 on the season with an opposite field homer to right field off Akron starter Kyle Davies (0-1).

Clippers beat Indians 10-9 behind huge second inning
As the old saying goes – nothing in life worth doing comes easy. For the Columbus Clippers (3-7) Sunday afternoon’s 10-9 triumph was neither an easy victory, nor an ultimate failure, but it could have gone either way. The Clippers built an eight-run lead, and almost saw it disappear against the Indianapolis Indians (9-2) at Victory Field.

Carolina crushes Potomac 12-2
The Carolina Mudcats broke out of an offensive slump to crush the Potomac Nationals 12-2 on Sunday afternoon. Right-hander D.J. Brown was forced to make an emergency start as scheduled starter, Dylan Baker (1-0, 3.38) sustained a lower right leg injury as he took the field, and left on crutches.

The WAR Room: The 2013 Columbus Clippers pitchers
To start off The WAR Room, Jim Piascik will be going back to 2013 and going over last year's performances. Ideally this is something that would happen in the offseason, but since he was not able to compute these stats until now, they have to run now. Join Jim as he goes over the 2013 Columbus Clippers pitchers, including Trevor Bauer's year to forget, T.J. House's rising profile, and much more.

Second Thoughts Game #12: Indians 12, White Sox 6
For the Cleveland Indians and the fandom that follows them, Saturday's 12-6 victory was an oasis in what has been an offensive desert of a start. The team's offense finally broke out of a week long slump and piled up 12 runs on 12 hits, though the starting pitching continues to be inconsistent. The IBI's John Grimm looks at the rotation's performance to date and offers up some evidence that things may not be as bad as they seem....

Around the Farm: April 12, 2014
All four Indians' affiliates were back in action on Saturday afternoon, and with that several of the Indians hopefuls of the future had a chance to shine. Ryan Rohlinger and Jerrud Sabourin were perfect at the plate on the night, and Dorssys Paulino and Paul Hendrix had big nights at the plate. The IBI's Arthur Kinney takes us Around the Farm......

Carolina Mudcats strand nine runners, lose to Potomac, 3-1
After tallying five double, the Carolina Mudcats were unable to capitalize as they fell to the Potomac Nationals 3-1. Even with nine hits, Carolina couldn't get the offense going as it stranded nine base runners. Cole Sulser was saddled with the loss after pitching 5.2 solid innings while a strong relief performance from Jacob Lee provided no relief for the game's result.

Clippers fall to Bats, 12-4, move record to 2-7 on the season
The Columbus Clippers continued their slow start to the season with a 12-4 loss to Lousiville Saturday. Columbus starter Brett Brach couldn't make it out of the first inning as a 2-0 lead turned into a 6-2 deficit for the visitors. A pair of two-run innings weren't enough to salvage the game for Columbus as the team was outhit by the Bats, 15 to seven.

Myles, Lindor power Akron to 6-5 win against Bowie
The Akron RubberDucks won a tightly contested game against the Bowie Baysox Saturday, 6-5. Will Roberts pitched 5.1 innings while Bowie starter Zach Davies was forced out of the game after being hit by a come-backer in the second inning. Bryson Myles hit a key two-run homer while super-prospect Francisco Lindor added a triple as Akron finished with five extra-base hits.

Lake County Captains fall to Kane County Cougars, 9-8
A comeback attempt fell short for The Lake County Captains as they lost to the Kane County Cougers 9-8 Saturday. Adam Plutko lasted less than five innings, giving up five runs, while Juan Panigua tossed four two-hit innings for Kane County. The Lake County offense was hot at times, but not enough to overcome five extra-base hits from the Cougars.
