Zach McAllister, Jesus Aguilar lead Columbus Clippers to 9-0 win
The Columbus Clippers piled on nine runs from 11 hits to beat the Buffalo Bisons, 9-0, Thursday. The Clippers had three different players record multiple hits and Jesus Aguilar hit his 12th home run of the season. Top prospect Zach McAllister pitched 7.1 innings of shutout baseball on his way to the win.

Seven Down: Indians prospects who have hurt their stock
Earlier this week we posted the seven Indians prospects who have improved their stock the most, but just like there are two sides to every coin and a yin to a yang, that means there have been some prospects who have hurt their prospect value this season. One bounce of the ball can be all it takes to change everything. Top prospect Francisco Lindor experienced this firsthand Wednesday as a routine double play grounder took a bad hop, bouncing up and hitting him in the face. Lindor seems to have avoided being struck in the eye, a potentially positive development, though he is still getting checked out. Storylines: Tim Lincecum throws second career no-hitter
For the second time in his career, Tim Lincecum no-hit the San Diego Padres. Nick Hagadone was sent up to the majors from Columbus while Josh Outman was out righted to the Clippers. The Padres are receiving interest in Joaquin Benoit and Huston Street, while David Price is still rumored to be available for a trade.

RubberDucks Notebook: Lavisky's adjustments are paying off
The RubberDucks (45-33) went 4-2 on their road trip last week, sweeping the Reading Fightin Phils and dropping two out of three games to the Harrisburg Senators. They split a two-game series with the Erie SeaWolves due to a postponed game on Tuesday night. The IBI's Spencer Davies recaps the week that was for Akron in his latest notebook....

Mahoning Valley Scrappers split doubleheader with Batavia
In two seven-inning games on Wednesday, the Mahoning Valley Scrappers went 1-1 with a 5-0 shutout victory in the opener. The Scrappers scored five runs in their first two innings of the day, but only scored one more run throughout the ensuing 12 innings of play. Batavia took home the second game after piling on four unanswered runs to win, 4-1.

Carolina Mudcats' offense stays quiet in loss to Salem Red Sox
The Carolina Mudcats outhit the Salem Red Sox, 8-7, Wednesday, but still took a loss, 5-1. The Mudcats were led by Luigi Rodriguez who had two hits, including a double, and scored the team's only run. Adum Plutko gave up just two hits in five innings, but took the loss on two runs with three walks allowed.

Clippers drop two to Buffalo, including 13-inning heartbreaker
The Columbus Clippers dropped two games in a doubleheader with Buffalo Wednesday, with the first loss coming in 13 innings. The game totaled 21 hits between the two teams, but Buffalo finished with the win after Columbus came back with three runs between the eighth and ninth innings to tie the game and force extras. The Clippers lost the nightcap, 3-2.

Lake County Captains sweep doubleheader behind 7 homers
After Tuesday's game was postponed, the Lake County Captains took on Bowling Green in a doubleheader Wednesday, and came away with a pair of 7-2 victories. In game one the Captains totaled 10 hits, but in game two they managed their seven runs on just six hits. Dace Kime and Justin Brantley were credited with the wins as Lake County totaled seven home runs on the day.

RubberDucks lose to SeaWolves, 4-2
The Erie SeaWolves left Akron with a series tie at one a piece with a 4-2 victory at Canal Park. In the third inning, Francisco Lindor took a bad hop off of his face and was taken out of the game. Jordan Smith had his second three-hit game of the season with three singles for the RubberDucks.

The Cleveland Indians lost to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night (Wednesday morning) in a 14-inning affair that saw the Indians tie the game in the 9th, take a two-run lead in the 11th and ultimately lose in the 14th. It was a quiet night on the farm thanks to Mother Nature as Double-A Akron, Low-A Lake County and short season Single-A Mahoning Valley were postponed because of rain, Triple-A Columbus had their game suspended in the fourth inning, and rookie level Arizona had a scheduled night off. Yet, High-A Carolina was in action and the IBI's Arthur Kinney recaps their performance on Tuesday.

Carolina Mudcats blanked by Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 6-0
The Carolina Mudcats again fell to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans after allowing six runs across the fourth and seventh innings. Even though Carolina managed 11 hits, compared to seven for Myrtle Beach, the team still couldn't put a run on the board. Starter Cole Sulser struck out seven in six innings but still took his seventh loss of the season.
