For Tribe, the Price IS Right
It’s been a long time since the Indians have had a legitimate, home grown major league star rise through its ranks, and they have that player in Francisco Lindor. Would they ever consider trading him? Well, the IBI's John Mast thinks they should, and that the player they should consider trading him for is David Price to solidify the Indians rotation as one of the best in all of baseball and make them legit contenders next season.

Orbiting Cleveland: Could Cody Anderson be 2014's Salazar?
There was arguably no better Indians story in 2013 than the rise of Danny Salazar. The right-hander was electric at times, and he also gave the fan base new hope for the future? So, with that in mind, who has a chance to be 2014's version of Salazar? Perhaps it could be Cody Anderson, who was just dominant at High-A Carolina last season. Ironically enough, Anderson's seems to be trending in the exact same direction as Salazar. Join the IBI's Steve Orbanek as he opines in the latest edition of Orbiting Cleveland.

Around the Farm: January 16, 2014
While the round robin phase in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic wraps up, things are getting heated in Venezuela. No, not the round robin playoffs there, but a spat between Asdrubal Cabrera and the executives for his winter team Caracas. Asdrubal Cabrera and problematic bouncebacks
After a 2013 Wild Card game performance in which Asdrubal Cabrera went 0-for-4 with a strikeout and the single most deflating play of the season, a double play in the bottom of the 4th with the bases loaded, the phrase ‘bounce back’ was not an appropriate word for Cleveland audiences. But the IBI's John Grimm explains in great detail how Cabrera's final 2013 numbers were affected by some poor luck and how he just may be in line for a bounce back year in 2014.

Trend Spotting: The definitive Joe Wendle
Joe Wendle has become an increasingly polarizing prospect in the Indians system as his value is all over the map according to national pundits. Some like him, some don't. Wendle has performed very well in his short career, and was named the IBI's Offensive Player of the Year for his outstanding year last season. The IBI's Jim Pete and Michael Hattery discuss why Wendle is a legit prospect and why he is criminally underrated.

Corey Kluber' excellence and his slider
Ubaldo Jimenez was one of the most important members of the staff last year for the Indians, and the arrival of Danny Salazar late in the year helped bolster a staff in need of support after several injuries cropped up. While the Indians continue to wait and see how the Jimenez saga carries out this offseason and Salazar figures to be a key piece to the rotation behind Justin Masterson, IBI newcomer John Grimm takes a look at the rise of Corey Kluber last year and how vital he is to their success going forward.
