Akron RubberDucks pounce for 10 runs against Binghamton
The Akron RubberDucks had the lead going into the bottom of the seventh inning, but tacked on seven runs in two frames to ensure their victory. Akron bashed the Binghamton Mets for nine hits to score its 10 runs as the RubberDucks drew six walks. RubberDuck starter Duke von Schamann moved to 3-0 on the season after tossing seven frames with four hits and two runs.

2014 MLB Draft: June 9th signing update
The 2013 MLB Draft is now in the rearview mirror which means the signing process has begun. Here is a first rundown of news on some things happening with Indians draft picks. Mudcats fall in back-and-forth affair, 8-7
In a back-and-forth game, the Carolina Mudcats dropped the rubber match of their weekend series with the Winston-Salem Dash losing 8-7 Sunday. Winston-Salem escaped with the win despite being outhit by the Mudcats 15 to 10.

Clippers beat Knights in thriller, 13-9
A consistent offensive effort gave the Columbus Clippers (31-32) a 13-9 victory on the road against the Charlotte Knights (21-43). The victory clinched at least a split of the series for the Clippers, with the two teams going at it once again on Monday and Tuesday.

Captains fall to Dragons after brief rain delay, 4-2
The Lake County Captains (23-40) fell to the Dayton Dragons (32-29) Sunday afternoon by the score of 4-2. The game's first pitch was originally scheduled for 1:30 PM, but due to a prolonged rain delay, the game did not actually start until 2:04 PM. Paid attendance was 2,085.

RubberDucks drop series finale in Harrisburg, 4-2
Cutter Dykstra, son of former MLB great Lenny, had a double and two RBI in a 4-2 victory at home over the RubberDucks. Harrisburg took two out of three from Akron in this weekend’s series. The game’s first run came in the bottom of the fourth inning when Dykstra hit a sacrifice fly to center field that brought in Michael Taylor, giving the Senators a one-run advantage.

The WAR Room: Naquin continues to produce in Akron
The WAR Room is back again, bringing you the 2014 advanced stats for every Cleveland minor leaguer. After looking at the pitchers last week, today we focus on the hitters. The Cleveland Indians' 8-3 victory over the Texas Rangers on Saturday shows the supremacy of process over result. After scoring only four runs despite 14 baserunners on Friday, Saturday's 8 runs came on 16 baserunners. Vick’s walk-off double lifts Captains over Dragons, 4-3
The Lake County Captains (23-39) came back to defeat the Dayton Dragons (31-29) 4-3 with a three-run ninth inning. Lake County walked-off for the seventh time, courtesy of right fielder Logan Vick’s three-run double.

Mudcats blow early lead, fall to Dash 7-5
The Carolina Mudcats fell 7-5 to the Winston-Salem Dash after blowing an early lead on Saturday night. The Dash took the lead in the seventh inning with three crucial runs that ultimately proved to be too much for the Mudcats to handle.

RubberDucks shutout by Senators, 8-0
Harrisburg right-hander A.J. Cole combined with relievers Paolo Espino and Neil Holland to throw a five-hit shutout against the Akron RubberDucks Saturday night, as the Senators cruised to an 8-0 win at Metro Bank Park. Three Harrisburg pitchers combined to blank Akron on Saturday.

Clippers take down Knights, 5-3
Carlos Moncrief broke a 1-1 tie with a two-run home run in the fifth inning, J.C. Ramirez was sharp out of the Columbus bullpen, and the Clippers beat the Charlotte Knights 5-3 on Saturday in the opening game of their four-game series from BB&T Ballpark. The game was played in front of 10,402 fans - the third largest crowd in BB&T Ballpark history. It was also the 17th sell-out crowd of the season.

With their 40th round pick in the 2014 Draft the Cleveland Indians have selected right-handed pitcher Ryan Ryder out of North Mecklenburg High School (NC).
