After arguably his best start in an Indians uniform last weekend, Ubaldo Jimenez pitched his way to an early exit on Friday night against the Tigers in a 7-5 loss. Nick Swisher had his worst game as an Indian with a few misplays in the field and is in a funk at the plate. The Indians have now lost five straight and 13 of their last 17. Times are tough right now, and Jake gives his second thoughts on another Indians loss.

ZEBULON, N.C.- The Carolina Mudcats fell to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans 10-1 in the first game of the three-game series Friday night at Five County Stadium.
Russell Moldenhauer powered Lake Erie with two opposite field home runs and four RBIs as the Crushers earned back-to-back wins with a 6-5 win over Washington (Pennsylvania) on Friday to get back on track.
SOUTH BEND, IN- The South Bend Silver Hawks (42-17) used a four-run eighth inning to take a late 7-4 lead to sweep the Lake County Captains (20-38) on Friday night. Lake County has now lost four straight.
TOLEDO- The Columbus Clippers fell 6-0 to the Toldeo Mudhens at Fifth Third Field Friday en route to a third straight loss. This was the sixth time this season Columbus has fallen victim to a shutout.
AKRON- The cloudy skies throughout the day could not prevent the Akron Aeros from blasting off on Friday night. Thanks to a big third inning, and an even bigger seventh, the Aeros secured their fourth straight victory with a win against the Portland SeaDogs by a final score of 12-3.
Eric Haase may be from “The State Up North”, but his dedication rests within the Buckeye State. Haase hails from Westland, Michigan, just east of Ann Arbor. Though he’s from the land of blue and maize, he had plans to move to the land of scarlet and grey his senior year of high school. That was put on hold, though, after he was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 2011.
