No bats, more errors help Oakland trounce Indians, 6-2
Scott Kazmir wasn't too happy in his return to Progressive Field, but his team sure loves it here. Scoring six runs on eight hits, Oakland pitching continued to get the best of a stymied Indians offense Saturday, as the Indians fell to the A's, 6-2. It wasn't just a poor offensive showing either, but a lack of defense that continues to leave manager Terry Francona and his ballclub in limbo. Join IBI Tribe beat reporter Jim Berdysz as he recaps another frustrating game at the ballpark.

Six of the nine hitters in the Tribe lineup posted multi-hit games, including five-hit performances from David Murphy and Lonnie Chisenhall. Aviles gives Cleveland a 4-3 walk-off win over Twins
History is known to repeat itself. For Indians second baseman Mike Aviles, history did just that Wednesday night at Progressive Field. A much needed victory for Cleveland (15-19), having won two straight in the four-game series. Join IBI Indians beat reporter Jim Berdysz as he recaps the first walk-off win of the season.

Pitching dominates, Indians split doubleheader with Padres
Even Meat Loaf knows that two out of three ain't bad. The Indians and Padres split Wednesday's traditional doubleheader, as pitching was the game of the game in the twin bill. Despite a win and loss on the day, the Tribe was still able to take the three-game series improving to 8-4 all-time against San Diego since 2003. IBI Indians beat reporter Jim Berdysz recaps the action from the ballpark.

Carrasco struggles, Indians fall to Twins, 7-3
He may have had an option, but he may not be the best option. Five runs on five hits through the first three innings Saturday proved more than enough for the Twins against Tribe starter Carlos Carrasco (0-1, 6.35 ERA), as Minnesota cruised to an easy 7-3 victory Saturday afternoon. Padres edge Indians 9-8 in Cactus League finale
All good things must come to an end. After a great spring, the Indians dropped their final Cactus League game Saturday to San Diego, 9-8. Tribe outfielder Matt Carson belted a pair of homers, but the offense could not overcome a shaky outing by Danny Salazar. The right-handed phenom went just four innings allowing five runs on seven hits, walking two and striking out five. IBI Indians beat reporter Jim Berdysz shares his thoughts and recaps the action.

Indians bats rally late, trounce Mariners, 8-5
It wasn't a good start for Indians minor league right-hander Travis Banwart, but that wouldn't stop Tribe bats and bullpen from going quietly. Asdrubal Cabrera: At the corner of BABIP and plate discipline
In 2013, Asdrubal Cabrera hit the ball extremely well. This is not a popular opinion; however, in 2013, Cabrera’s line drive rate of 23.4% was a well-above league average clip. Some have attributed Cabrera's plate discipline issues as a major factor that weighed down his BABIP last season, but the IBI's John Grimm explains that there is no evidence suggesting that plate discipline and BABIP are correlated.
