Carrasco struggles, Indians fall to Twins, 7-3
He may have had an option, but he may not be the best option. Five runs on five hits through the first three innings Saturday proved more than enough for the Twins against Tribe starter Carlos Carrasco (0-1, 6.35 ERA), as Minnesota cruised to an easy 7-3 victory Saturday afternoon. Join IBI Indians beat reporter Jim Berdysz as he recaps the action from the ballpark.

Indians rally to defeat Twins on Opening Day, 7-2
There's no place like home. Back at Progressive Field for the first time in over six months, the Indians wouldn't let a few raindrops get in the way of Cleveland's most unofficial holiday. Down 2-0 in the bottom half of the sixth, the Tribe outscored Minnesota 7-0 over the final four frames, defeating the Twins, 7-2. Join IBI Tribe beat reporter Jim Berdysz as he recaps the action from the ballpark.

Carrasco's Conundrum: Summing the parts
The Indians made the announcement on Wednesday that Carlos Carrasco will open the season as the club's fifth starter. The Indians have had their enigma's on the mound over the past few years with Fausto Carmona and Ubaldo Jimenez, and Carrasco is yet another one to add to that mix. Can he finally put it all together and is there anything from his 2013 performance which points to him being in line for a solid 2014 campaign? The IBI's John Grimm breaks it all down....

Carrasco struggles as Tribe falls to Oakland, 13-3
It was a tale of the good, the bad and the ugly Wednesday afternoon at Goodyear Ballpark. Things looked good early on for the Tribe, as Indians hitters jumped to a three run lead through the first four innings against Oakland. Despite a fast start, that would be all the scoring for the Wahoo's in this one, as the Athletics outscored the Tribe 13-0 over the final five frames to pickup an easy 13-3 win. After yielding five earned runs in the ballgame, could Carlos Carrasco now be on the outside looking in for the final spot in the Cleveland rotation? IBI Tribe beat reporter Jim Berdysz shares his thoughts and recaps the action.

Indians, Johnson edge Rangers, 6-5
Even a Super Bowl champ couldn't get in the way of another Tribe victory. Indians bats banged out six runs on 11 hits to edge Texas Monday afternoon, 6-5. The Rangers would cut the deficit to one run in the eighth inning, but it wasn't enough to overtake Elliot Johnson's perfect day at the plate. Join IBI Tribe beat reporter Jim Berdysz as he recaps and shares his thoughts on the spring contest.

Tribe Happenings: The importance of the Indians "Fab Five"
The Indians lost two key members of their starting rotation in the offseason in Ubaldo Jimenez and Scott Kazmir, and could lose another if Justin Masterson departs as a free agent at the end of the season. In today's Happenings, the IBI's Tony Lastoria discusses how the Indians have already taken a leap of faith that two internal starting pitching options can fill a need and that they need some luck and performance from others to maintain a good rotation. He also talks about Swisher only playing first base, McAllister's pitch mix, Nelson Cruz's contract, provides the full spring TV schedule and more.
