Second Thoughts Game #31: White Sox 4, Indians 3
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... Perhaps Dickens was prophesying Sunday's game between the Indians and White Sox with those words. Either way, it encapsulates the resounding joy followed by sheer frustration and heartbreak felt by Tribe fans that afternoon. Kluber and Kottaras made history, but Axford couldn't finish the job. Join the IBI's Jake Dungan as he gives his thoughts on the loss.

Axford blows save, White Sox edge Indians, 4-3
Hall of Fame manager Earl Weaver once said, "The key to winning baseball games is pitching, defense and three-run homers." The Indians brought the starting pitching and defense, but it was the White Sox that would bring the final punch. A three-run homer off the bat of right fielder Dayan Vicideo in the ninth inning allowed Chicago to avoid the series sweep Sunday, defeating the Tribe, 4-3. Join IBI Indians beat reporter Jim Berdysz as he recaps the action from the ballpark.

Second Thoughts Game #29: White Sox 5, Indians 12
The Indians erupted for 12 runs on Friday night and beat the White Sox 12-5. The sloppy play on defense and the inconsistent starting pitching continued, but the bats came alive against John Danks with Michael Brantley and Carlos Santana leading the way. The IBI's John Grimm talks about Brantley's sudden home run surge and analyzes whether it is for real and also talks about Danny Salazar's outing.

Second Thoughts: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
For the most part, it was an "it could be worse" type of start for the Indians. They had problems on the pitching staff, the offense and the defense, but still managed to keep their heads above water. However, whatever momentum they had when they headed west completely dissolved as the Tribe dropped six straight. The IBI's Jake Dungan looks back at April for the Tribe.

Second Thoughts Game #28: Indians 1, Angels 7
The Indians three hit performance against the Angels on Wednesday night was a fitting end to their West Coast trip. The team finished the game just 1-for-22 from the plate, putting an exclamation point on a six game stretch of horrors. The Indians finish the month of April 11-17, and with more questions than when the season started. The IBI's Michael Goodman recaps what went wrong during the trip and the month.

Second Thoughts Game #27: Indians 4, Angels 6
The Indians continue to play bad defense, execute poorly on offense and fail to keep the opposition off the board after they score the half inning prior. All of that leads to a five-game losing streak and poor 11-16 start so far this season. The IBI's Charlie Adams reviews last night's 6-4 loss to the Angels and analyzes key moments in the game where had the Indians gotten just one clutch hit or key pitch they actually may have won the game.
