Indians bats rally late, trounce Mariners, 8-5
It wasn't a good start for Indians minor league right-hander Travis Banwart, but that wouldn't stop Tribe bats and bullpen from going quietly. Trailing 5-1 after six innings of play, Cleveland relievers helped the offense outscore Seattle 7-0 over the final three frames to trounce the Mariners, 8-5 for their sixth straight victory this spring.

2014 Key Players: Yan Gomes
Coming over with Mike Aviles in an offseason trade in 2012 that shipped Esmil Rogers to Toronto, Yan Gomes entered camp last year mostly as an unknown. Wendle walks off Tribe against White Sox in fifth straight win
It was an afternoon of firsts in Goodyear on Tuesday. David Murphy got his first hit as an Indian, Josh Tomlin and John Axford gave up their first runs of the spring, Bryan Price made his first appearance in big league exhibition play (and got his first win) and Joe Wendle recorded his first RBI in big league camp, and a walk-off at that. The IBI's Jake Dungan recaps the Tribe's dramatic 5-4 win over Chicago.

Indians, Johnson edge Rangers, 6-5
Even a Super Bowl champ couldn't get in the way of another Tribe victory. Indians bats banged out six runs on 11 hits to edge Texas Monday afternoon, 6-5. The Rangers would cut the deficit to one run in the eighth inning, but it wasn't enough to overtake Elliot Johnson's perfect day at the plate. Lindor powers Tribe to 6-3 victory over Mariners
Top Indians prospect Francisco Lindor made his presence known to the big league club and its fans by on Sunday by driving in the go-ahead runs with a three-run blast in the seventh inning in a 6-3 win against the Mariners. Meanwhile, Nick Swisher made his 2014 Cactus League debut for the Tribe and Carlos Santana's first official play at third base wasn't all that spectacular. Indians make trade with Dodgers for Justin Sellers
The Cleveland Indians today announced they have acquired infielder Justin Sellers from the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for cash considerations. To allow room on the 40-man roster they have designated first baseman David Cooper for assignment.
