In defense of Carlos Santana
Carlos Santana is the most underappreciated Cleveland sports athlete the IBI's Jeff Ellis has seen in his life time. The amount of people who want him sent out of town or that think he is a terrible disappointment never ceases to amaze Jeff. He comes up with a few theories as to why he is disliked by so many and also puts to bed several myths about him and shows why he is arguably he most valuable bat in the Indians lineup.

Tribe Happenings: The Indians success in '13 started at the top
On October 6th of last year the Indians hired Terry Francona to be their manager and thus began the start of an amazing revival for an organization on life support to one that is heading in the right direction. They had a good year, but now comes the hard part. Tony talks about their philosophy change and how they need to take the next step this offseason, how Francona had such a big effect on the team, and why he thinks the Indians need to pull out all the stops to resign Jimenez and Kazmir.

A deeper look at Justin Masterson
Coming in to the 2013 season the Indians pitching staff had more questions than it did answers. After a brilliant second half, Jimenez is sure to be in for a hefty raise this offseason. Join the IBI's Steve Orbanek as he opines why it should be the Tribe who ultimately give Jimenez his new contract.

Tribe Madness: 128-player tourney to determine greatest Indian
So how does one pit a player from the 1940's against a star from the 1920's or 1990's and how do you have a pitcher compete with an outfielder? Well you can't - at least not in real life - but you can in the fantasy world of OOTP baseball. And that's what IBI history buff Rick Lamborn did to determine the best Indians player of all time with a gigantic 128-player tournament. He explains the tournament and previews the first round in his latest....

The IBI's Michael Hattery steps in with an exceptional Trend Spotting piece breaking down Kazmir's season and answers the questions about how good his 2013 season was, what it tells us about his future, and what kind of contract he should get this offseason.

What I'd like to see in 2014 at the Corner of Carnegie and Ontario
The Cleveland Indians are putting their 2013 season behind them, and while the 92-win season was a massive improvement from the 2012 debacle, this team is just getting started. What will the Indians do in 2014? Will they trade Asdrubal Cabrera? Will they sign Ubaldo Jimenez? Will they sign Asdrubal Cabrera? Will they fix Trevor Bauer? Will Jose Ramirez start the year off in Cleveland, and where? Join Jim Pete as ponders what may happen in 2014.
