Second Thoughts: Game #70-Astros 8, Indians 1
After the Indians shutout Houston 2-0 on Friday night, the Astros returned the favor on Saturday afternoon as rookie left-handed starter Dallas Keuchel threw a complete game victory in just his second Major League start, defeating Cleveland 8-1. Tribe starter Jeanmar Gomez would take a perfect game into the fifth inning only to unravel and give up four runs in the frame, on his way to his third consecutive losing effort and seventh loss of the season.

Right on or way off: Is Masterson the Ace?
Has Justin Masterson finally emerged as the Cleveland Indians ace, or are his recent starts just a facade? Is it time to remove Carlos Santana from the clean-up spot, or is their still time for the Indians' slugger to heat up this summer? Is it time to make a change to the bottom of the rotation, or will Jeanmar Gomez figure things out? Join Adam, and find out if these statements are right on, or way off...

Corner of Carnegie and Ontario: Summer Solstice edition
The Indians need some offensive help on the right side of the plate. There is no doubt about that. But, with so many teams looking for power-hitting, right-handed bats, might the Indians be best served to look elsewhere to fill another of their holes going forward? Jim Pete takes a closer look at the topsy-turvy, ebb and flow rotation and bullpen in this weeks CoCaO...

Second Thoughts: Game #69 - Indians 2, Astros 0
The Indians got their 10-game road trip started off on the right foot on Friday night with a 2-0 win over the Astros. Ubaldo Jimenez continued his June brilliance and the offense did just enough to aide in the win. Jim Berdysz chimes in with his "second thoughts" on the win and the Indians fourth straight win...

Second Thoughts: Game #68 - Reds 1, Indians 8
The Indians finished off the sweep of the Reds on Wednesday night with a convincing 8-1 win, and in the process got pay back for the sweep and thumping the Reds put on them last week in Cincinnati. The Indians got a complete game gem from Justin Masterson who looks to have turned a corner, and also got big hits from Asdrubal Cabrera, Johnny Damon and Lonnie Chisenhall. Charlie Adams shares his "second thoughts" on the series win (sweep)...

Second Thoughts: Game #67 - Reds 2, Indians 3
Wow, what a ballgame last night. The Indians got a much needed win and shot in the arm when Asdrubal Cabrera deposited a two-run homer into the right-center field seats to give the Indians a stunning 3-2 win in extra innings over the Reds. With the win and a White Sox loss, the Indians are now back in first place in the AL Central. Charlie Adams has his "second thoughts" on the game...

Second Thoughts: Game #66 - Reds 9, Indians 10

Second Thoughts: Game #65 - Pirates 9, Indians 5

Second Thoughts: Game #64-Pirates 9, Indians 2
It was nowhere close to the kind of game Indians manager Manny Acta and his players were envisioning on Saturday, as the Pirates tied the three game series with a an easy 9-2 victory. After gaining some momentum shutting out Pittsburgh on Friday, Cleveland never looked as though they ever had control in the ballgame as the Indians offense woes continue. The Indians are now just 12-15 over their last 27 games. Join Jim B. for his Second Thoughts on Saturday's game against the Pirates...

Corner of Carnegie and Ontario: "We're going streaking!!!"
Michael Brantley is entering rarified air with regards to his current 22-game hit streak, and Ubaldo Jimenez and Justin Masterson have looked like aces. Will these three continue to perform at this level for the rest of the season? We're more than halfway to July, and speculation has begun with regards to teams willing to make a deal. Will the Indians be in on a guy like Alfonso Soriano?

Second Thoughts: Game #63-Indians 2, Pirates 0
Justin Masterson is the staff ace, and his finally starting to look like it. Masterson dominated for seven, then gave the game to Vinnie Pestano and Chris Perez. Two words for the resurgent Pittsburgh Pirates: GAME OVER. Michael Brantley also continues his MLB high hit streak to 22 games. Join Jim Berdysz for his "Second Thoughts" on Friday Night's masterpiece.

Roster restoration
The Indians recently picked up a reliever off waivers from the Rockies who had an 8.06 ERA in 23 games and currently have 13 pitchers on the roster. They called up and then sent down Matt LaPorta after just 11 at bats. Lonnie Chisennall is struggling at third base and the outfield trio of Duncan, Damon and Cunningham have performed poorly all season. Adam McGavin chimes in with some thoughts on fixing the roster...

Second Thoughts: Game #62 - Reds 12, Indians 5
On Thursday the Indians ended a once promising road trip in disappointing fashion as the Reds finished off a three-game sweep with a 12-5 mauling of the Tribe. Josh Tomlin was banged around, the bullpen got touched up again, and Votto-Phillips continued to torment the Indians. Kevin Dean shares his "second thoughts" on the game...

Whither LaPorta?
Matt LaPorta continues to tear up Triple-A, while the Tribe struggles to generate offense at first base and left field. Has the organization soured on him or has he just been a victim of circumstance (and interleague play)? With Travis Hafner injured, Brian La Shier considers the case for using LaPorta in a more substantial role.
