Second Thoughts: Game #148 - Twins 6, Indians 5
The Cleveland Indians used the most pitchers they have ever used in a single game last night, but it was not enough to defeat the Minnesota Twins as they fell 6-5 in 12 innings. The Indians had their chances, but more struggles with runners in scoring position and a boneheaded play at first base by Matt LaPorta did them in. Jim Piascik chimes in with his thoughts on the game.

A Dose of Sunshine: Part two
In his follow up to his first piece that posted two weeks ago, Adam McGavin tries to find a light in the darkness that has been the Indians final two months of the 2012 season. Everyone knows that the Indians biggest strength lies in their bullpen, and he takes a look at some of the good arms the Indians have stockpiled there as well as some good young players at other positions.

Second Thoughts: Game #147 - Indians 7, Tigers 6
The Indians avoided a series sweep at the hands of the hated Tigers thanks to some good ole Progressive Field late inning magic where they scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth and won 7-6 yesterday. Losses like that this late in the season can be crippling to teams fighting for a playoff spot, so even if was a meaningless win for the Indians it was still nice to see a little spark from them, and against a division rival to boot. Kevin Dean shares his thoughts on the game.

Tribe Happenings: Rotation needs an Extreme Makeover
The Indians season is (finally) winding down as there are only two weeks left in the season. Tony checks in with his weekly Sunday notebook and explains how the Indians need to blow up the rotation this offseason and rebuild it from scratch, and how they need to make some key decisions with the lineup. He also touches on how this is the worst season in over two decades, their race for a top five pick in next year's draft, injury updates, and more.

Second Thoughts: Game #146 Tigers 5, Indians 3
History was almost made at Progressive Field on Saturday afternoon. No, it did not involve any Indians starter or player, but rather the team’s lack of offense. Tigers starter Anibal Sanchez was dominant all game on Saturday, taking a No-hitter to the bottom of the seventh inning and defeating the Indians 5-3.

Second Thoughts: Game #145 Tigers 4, Indians 0
Fresh off of a thrilling comeback win on Thursday against the Texas Rangers, the Indians looked to keep the momentum going Friday. Only one problem. They happened to run into the Detroit Tigers and this pretty good pitcher named Justin Verlander. How'd it turn out for the Tribe? Take a look as Jim Berdysz offers his Second Thoughts.

Second Thoughts: Game #144 Indians 5, Rangers 4
They live! The Indians have looked like a team that is sleep walking through the remainder of their season, but last night in the ninth inning they showed a spark that had not really been seen since mid-July as they hit two homers and turned a 4-2 deficit into a 5-4 lead that would stand up. Jason Ruggiero shares his thoughts on the game...

Second Thoughts: Game #143 Indians 2, Rangers 5
It was the same old story last night for the Indians as inconsistent starting pitching and a popgun offense resulted in a 5-2 loss against the Rangers. Jeanmar Gomez was not good in his start and the offense squandered numerous scoring opportunities, and it resulted in their fifth straight loss and are now 15-44 in their last 59 games. Adam McGavin has the details...

Second Thoughts: Game #142 Rangers 6, Indians 4
Another day, another loss. That's what it has felt like of late with the Indians as you almost expect them to lose each night. Well, that's what happened once again on Tuesday night in Arlington as the Indians lost 6-4 to the Rangers. Jim Piascik steps in and provides his thoughts on another loss for the Tribe.

Second Thoughts: Game #141 Indians 2, Twins 7
The Indians could muster little in the way of offense and lose 7-2 to the Twins last night, and the loss drops them into a tie with the Twins for last place in the American League Central. Justin Masterson started out incredibly well, but unraveled, while the Tribe took the series loss in their four-game set with the Twins. Adam McGavin shares his thoughts on the game...

Second Thoughts: Game #140 Twins 8, Indians 7
The Indians battled on Sunday and actually played one of their better games offensively in awhile, but it was not enough as Justin Mourneau deposited a Vinnie Pestano pitch into the seats in the bottom of the ninth inning for an 8-7 walkoff victory for the Twins. Kevin Dean shares his thoughts on Sunday's game and more...

Tribe Happenings: Carrasco should give rotation a boost
In his weekly Indians notebook, Tony provides an update on the return of Carlos Carrasco, how he has looked, and what the plan may be for him next year. He also chimes in with his thoughts on the recent callups from the minors and makes sense of the players that were called up and those that were not, he talks about Chris Perez being out of line, he looks at the underwhelming season of Casey Kotchman, and more.

Second Thoughts: Game #139 Twins 3, Indians 0
The Indians offense could not get anything rolling on Saturday as the Tribe was held in check by Minnesota and Twins starter Cole De Vires, getting shutout 3-0. The loss puts Cleveland at a season low 21 games below the .500 mark. Cleveland starter Zach McAllister struggled for his third straight outing, going just three innings giving up two earned runs on three hits.

Corner of Carnegie & Ontario: Owners,GMs & fans,Oh my!
With the season thankfully winding down, Chris Perez slammed both the owners and the GM for their lack of movement when the team really needed it. In doing so, he compared the Indians situation to the Tigers. Are they really similar, and should they really be compared? Jim Pete takes a quick look at both Perez, Detroit and Cleveland, and where the failings really are...after the jump...

Second Thoughts: Game #138 Indians 7, Twins 6
It may have very well been the battle for last place, but there was certainly a nail biter of a finish as the Indians edged out their Central Division rival Twins Friday night, 7-6. The Tribe would collect a dozen hits in the ballgame and already pick up their fourth win in September.
