Peavy and Konerko lead White Sox to 3-1 victory
Chicago starter Jake Peavy kept the Cleveland bats quiet for seven innings and Paul Konerko hit a two-run home run off Brett Myers as the White Sox beat the Indians 3-1 in the Sunday finale of a three-game series. Peavy looked like he might run into trouble after center fielder Michael Bourn hit his first pitch of the game into the visitor's bullpen, putting the Indians up 1-0, but

Tribe Happenings: Carrasco still has some growing up to do

Second Thoughts Game #10: Indians 9, White Sox 4
Zach McAllister, Nick Swisher and Mark Reynolds led the Cleveland Indians to a 9-4 victory over Chris Sale and the Chicago White Sox, winning their second game in a row, and bringing their record to an even .500 on the season. The revitalized starting pitching has carried them far in the series against the White Sox, and they'll look to sweep in Sunday's tilt at Progressive Field. Reynolds, McAllister lead Tribe to 9-4 win
On Friday, the Indians did it with pitching. But on Saturday, they did it with a little bit of both. Mark Reynolds drove in five runs and Zach McAllister had a strong performance on the mound to lead the Indians to a 9-4 win over the Chicago White Sox. Join the IBI's Nathan Kemp as he recaps all the action from what proved to be a very exciting Indians win.

Second Thoughts Game #9: White Sox 0, Indians 1
There aren’t many starting pitchers, let alone aces in Major League Baseball who are pitching much better than Justin Masterson right now. On Friday night fresh off of taking out two consecutive Cy Young winners in his first couple starts of the young 2013 campaign, the right-hander shut down the Chicago White Sox in a complete game shutout effort leading to the Indians winning 1-0. Plus, Cleveland's back to their winning ways after a dramatic walk-off win. Join Jake Dungan as he gives his Second Thoughts, after the jump...

Swisher's clutch hit gives Indians, Masterson walkoff win
Boy did the Indians ever need that one. The IBI's Jim Berdysz recaps the the game and what was a big win for the Tribe.

Second Thoughts: The “Pronk's Bomber” Illusion
Mother Nature once again decided that there should be no baseball in Cleveland Wednesday night, postponing the game for a second straight night. With no new baseball to write about -- and the bitter memories of Yankee blowouts in his head, Andrew Clayman takes a look at what the new-and-improved Travis Hafner is doing in pinstripes and whether or not it is sustainable. Join Andrew for his Second Thoughts, after the jump...

Second Thoughts: Indians pitchers off to rough start
Wednesday night's rainout may have been the best thing to happen to Terry Francona and company this week. Still reeling from 11-6 and 14-1 losses Monday and Tuesday, last night's rain will hopefully give the team time to rest and regroup. With no game to write about, Michael Goodman shifts his Second Thoughts toward the starting rotation, focusing on the two pitchers he thinks need to step it up if Cleveland is going to right the ship.

The season isn't over at the Corner of Carnegie and Ontario
The Cleveland Indians have struggled over the past several games during the first two weeks of the season, which has led many of the teams supporters to begin to call it quits on a season that's just underway. This team is just too good, regardless of their pitching questions, not to win more than it loses. Jim Pete pulls in the gang plank for now, here on his son's birthday edition of Corner of Carnegie and Ontario...

Kluber to start on Wednesday night against Yankees
The Indians have yet to make an official announcement on who will start tonight's game against the Yankees, but right-handed pitcher Corey Kluber is en route to Cleveland and will start the game tonight if it is played. With right-hander Carlos Carrasco’s ejection last night and then tonight’s probable starter right-hander Brett Myers having to be used in long relief, it opened up a need for a starter tonight.

Second Thoughts Game #8: Yankees 14, Indians 1
Carlos Carrasco made his season debut Tuesday night after sitting out 2012 recovering from Tommy John surgery. Needless to say, it was a night he’d like to forget along with the rest of Tribe Nation as Carrasco got rocked by a depleted Yankees lineup for seven runs in three and two thirds innings. The IBI's Jake Dungan has some "second thoughts" on Carrasco's performance and more...

Around The Farm: April 9, 2013

Second Thoughts Game #7: Yankees 11, Indians 6
Baseball returned to Cleveland yesterday. Optimism surrounding the Indians was in the air and everywhere to be seen downtown. That is, until Ubaldo Jimenez fell into a familiar set of bad habits, and a familiar face crashed the annual party. The IBI's Kevin Dean breaks down the game and gives some "second thoughts" on what he saw in the Indians home opener loss.
