Second Thoughts Game #30: A's 0, Indians 1
The Indians won a nail-biter on Tuesday night with a 1-0 win over the Athletics at Progressive Field. Behind the strong pitching of Zach McAllister, whom they got from the Yankees for Austin Kearns in July of 2010, and some key plays by Yan Gomes the Indians were able to come away with their eighth win in their last nine games. Did I mention the Indians got McAllister for Kearns? The IBI's Jake Dungan gives his second thoughts on the game...

Indians, McAllister shutout Athletics 1-0
The Indians starting pitching continues to impress as of late, and that trend continued on Tuesday as Zach McAllister pitched 7 2/3 scoreless innings to lead the Tribe to a 1-0 victory. It was the Indians' eighth win in their last nine games and now puts their record at 16-14. The IBI's JIm Berdysz has you covered as he recaps McAllister's performance and all the key details from the contest.

Second Thoughts Game #29: Indians 7, Athletics 3
The Indians got back on the winning path on Monday as they belted four homers and beat the Athletics, 7-3. One of those four homers was a gigantic moon shot of a homer off the bat of Mark Reynolds, who got sweet revenge after he had just been hit with a pitch in an earlier at bat. Also, Ubaldo Jimenez was good for his second straight start. The IBI's Kevin Dean talks about that and more...

Jason Kipnis, Asdrubal Cabrera and Mark Reynolds combined to hit a total of four home runs as the Indians offense once again was in high gear. Join the IBI's Jim Berdysz as he recaps all the action from the Tribe's opening series win.

Pestano placed on DL, Hagadone recalled
The Cleveland Indians announced that the club has placed right-handed pitcher Vinnie Pestano on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow tendinitis. To take Pestano's place on the 25-man roster, the Indians have recalled left-handed pitcher Nick Hagadone from Triple-A Columbus.

Notes from the Wigwam: Just win, baby!
It's been a great week for the Cleveland Indians as the Tribe went 5-1 to get back to .500 at 14-14 and move into third place in the AL Central. Ryan Raburn was scorching hot at the plate as he went 11-for-13 across a three-game span to lead the Tribe. Trevor Bauer also made his return this past week, and it appears as if he now could be on his way back... and for good. Join the IBI's Steve Orbanek as he recaps the week that was in the weekly IBI staple, Notes from the Wigwam.

Second Thoughts Game #28: Twins 4, Indians 2
As the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end. Cleveland snapped their six-game winning streak Sunday afternoon as they fell to the Minnesota Twins, 4-2. Tribe bats cooled off considerably as the team was blanked by a strong pitching performance from Twins starter Mike Pelfrey (3-3, 6.35 ERA). Indians starter Corey Kluber (2-1, 3.06 ERA) worked out of some early trouble to surrender three runs on five hits in 5 2/3 innings, but the solid effort was not enough.

Second Thoughts Game #27: Indians 7, Twins 3
The Cleveland Indians are heating up, both at the plate and on the mound. That was showcased last night as Scott Kazmir and the bullpen held the Minnesota Twins to three runs, while the offense put seven on the board. It's only May, but the Indians certainly look like a team that others will have to contend with. Join Jim "The Berd Man" Berdysz as he gives his Second Thoughts on Saturday Night's game.

Second Thoughts: A Raburn of Hope
Even outside of baseball, April is a month commonly described as a prelude to better things—showers begetting flowers and all that. So, for all our nail-biting over the Indians’ rather lifeless kickoff to the 2013 campaign, it can’t be too surprising to see things starting to balance out—more than a little bit—in the past few days. With things starting to look up for the team and spring in the air, join Andrew Clayman as he gives his off-day Second Thoughts.
