It was another series of unfortunate defensive events for the AZL Indians on Wednesday night as the team committed five errors on the evening, a rather discouraging event considering their six errors committed the previous night. Shortstop Dorssys Paulino made his 12th error on the season and has 12 errors in 24 games. In all it led to a 9-4 loss to the AZL Royals.
A lot of people think that being a minor league player or coach is a glamorous lifestyle, but that is far from the truth. The reality is that for those with families it requires a strong commitment from all parties involved while they deal with all of the travel, time apart, ever-changing living arrangements, and low pay. Tony recently sat down and talked to the the wives of Lake County coaches Dave Wallace and Jeff Harris to get their side of the minor league lifestyle.
The AZL Indians looked the part of a rookie league squad last night as they committed six errors in the field and went 0-for-5 with RISP on the evening in a 9-2 loss to the AZL Cubs. Leaving six runners on base and striking out ten times on the night were part of the problem.

The AZL Indians seem to be loaded with offense, but the focus in week three seemed to be on the starting pitching. 2012 Fifth round pick Dylan Baker made his pro debut, and 2011 second round pick Dillon Haward continued his progression through the system. Kieran Lovegrove and Mitch Brown were also readying themselves for potential moves as well. Join IPI's Sean Mahon with an exclusive look at the rookie league!
Calhoun, GA native and this year’s 7th round pick Joshua McAdams really made his mother’s drive from Georgia to Arizona a worthwhile one yesterday night. The AZL Indians would win courtesy a walk off knock from McAdams in the 11th inning after a three run comeback to tie it in the 9th inning.
It was a chaotic nine inning game of baseball last night as the AZL Indians pitching was bruised and battered for 17 runs off 21 hits to accommodate 5 errors in the field in a 17-15 loss to the D-Backs. The Indians 2012 5th round pick Dylan Baker started the game and looked to have some nerves on the mound in his professional debut.

It is about time. The defense and pitching finally meshed last night as lefty Luis Lugo threw the game of the year for the AZL Indians to date and helped lead his team to a 3-1 win over the AZL Royals. Lugo went five innings giving up just two hits and one walk.
