Jesse Winker hit his 16th homerun of the season in the bottom of the eighth inning and the Dayton Dragons (25-21) defeated the Captains (21-24) by a final of 3-2. The first two hitters of the inning reached base and then jogged home on the three-run shot. The Dragons won just their fourth game of the season against the Captains.

The Captains returned home this past week, where they posted a 3-4 record. The offense seemed to generate some more hits, though these hits didn't necessarily come at the right times.
