Wendle's strong season has him in the Indians sights
It’s not often that a player can lead a team in batting average, home runs and runs batted in after missing a month of the season, but Carolina Mudcats second baseman Joey Wendle is doing just that. What a first full season in the minors Wendle is having and he has jumped into the mix with the other talented middle infielders in the organization. The IBI's Zachary Francis recently caught up with Wendle and talked about his success this season.

Around The Farm: August 1, 2013
So often, the difference between a prospect developing into a major leaguer or busting out in the minors is health. Some players are just unlucky with their bodies and see their careers end while others manage to stay on the field and make something happen. Bryson Myles is turning heads now that he is healthy and he continued to do so Thursday night. To read about Myles and everything else you need to know about the minor leagues, join Jim Piascik and go Around The Farm.

Greenwell working to overcome disappointment and setbacks
High-A Carolina outfielder Bo Greenwell was having one of his better seasons in 2011 when a pitch crushed his pinky finger in his hand and required reconstructive surgery. Since then it has been a struggle for him with several injuries and setbacks that have pushed him back in the organization, but he remains positive and confident in himself and is striving to finish this season strong to put him in the best possible position this offseason when he enters free agency.

Around The Farm: July 25, 2013
We all know Francisco Lindor is an elite player, but watching his video game numbers pile up upon his promotion to Double-A is an entirely new level of dominance. Lindor did show his human side a little bit Thursday -- striking out for the first time -- but he more than made up for it in power. To read about Lindor's night, a Mahoning Valley infielder showing he can hit, and much more, join Jim Piascik as he takes you Around The Farm.
