Tejeda is a bullpen arm with some promise
The minor leagues may be considered a place for adjustments and learning from mistakes but so far, Enosil Tejeda has mostly seen success. Tejeda, a 24-year-old right-hander from the Dominican Republic, has been one of the double-A Akron Aeros’ most reliable bullpen arms since his promotion from high-A Carolina in May. The IBI's Stephanie Metzger talked with him recently and provides the details in her latest.

Making adjustments key Rodriguez toward big season
Early in the season it looked like Akron Aeros shortstop Ronny Rodriguez may have been pushed too hard and needed some time back in High-A Carolina to get his head right. After a pivotal midseason adjustment to his swing, however, Rodriguez is tearing up the Eastern League and simply dominating. Jim Piascik talked with Rodriguez recently about that change, what makes him such an electric player, and more.

Richmond, VA- The Akron Aeros got off to a slow start Saturday evening at The Diamond Stadium in Richmond, Virginia. Aeros drives Squirrels nuts with 14 hits in 6-2 win
The hits just kept on coming for the Akron Aeros Friday night in Richmond. By the end of the night, the Flying Squirrels weren’t sure if they had been in a ball game or a special edition of American Top 40. After collecting 13 hits in a win on Thursday, the Aeros surpassed that mark by one, pounding out 14 hits on their way to a 6-2 victory over the Squirrels.

Around The Farm: July 4, 2013
A very happy Fourth of July to you! We at IBI hope you had a great holiday and enjoyed a little time off. There was no time off in the minor leagues Thursday, as all of Cleveland's affiliates were in action. Some did a little worse than others (like a pair of four-hit outings in Columbus and Carolina), though there were plenty of good performances, including some impressive pitching and hitting in Lake County. To read all about Thursday in the minor leagues, join Jim Piascik and go Around The Farm.

Hard-Hitting Aeros Outlast Richmond In 11-8 Marathon

Both teams combined for 21 hits, with hitters Carlos Moncrief and Jake Lowery contributing to the Aeros’ effort.

Minor Happenings: Wendle is blossoming into a star
A very Happy Fourth of July to all of the IBI readers! What better to celebrate our independence than good food, fireworks, and another edition of Minor Happenings! In today’s abbreviated version of the Happenings on the Indians farm (still over 2300 words), Tony takes a long look at the emerging star that is second baseman Joey Wendle and just how good of a prospect he really is for the Indians. He also provides tons of comments from Ross Atkins on Clint Frazier, Mitch Brown, Kieran Lovegrove, Juan Herrera, and many others.

Around The Farm: July 3, 2013
Sometimes greatness can spoil people. Francisco Lindor could spend almost every night atop Around The Farm, though sometimes we can take his all-around excellence for granted. Lindor is one of the transcendent prospects in the game of baseball and is the kind of talent every team wants in its system. The shortstop was at it again Wednesday night, along with plenty of other players throughout the system. To read all about them, join Jim Piascik as he goes Around The Farm.

Packer Twirls Another Gem, Gets Help from Pen in 3-1 Win
On a night when the Akron Aeros needed a stopper, they got three. Needing a win to end a four-game losing streak and avoid a series sweep, Aeros lefty Matt Packer and righthanded relievers Enosil Tejeda and Jose Flores combined on a four-hitter Wednesday night as the Aeros slipped by Bowie, 3-1, at Prince George’s Stadium.

Minor Happenings: Moncrief has put it all together
In this week’s first edition of Minor Happenings, Tony takes a look at the big month that outfielder Carlos Moncrief had and just what kind of prospect he is for the Indians. He also checks in on the progress that right-handed pitcher Dylan Baker is making this season, provides several comments from the front office on players in the upper levels like Bryan Price, Jose Ramirez, Jose Flores, Ronny Rodriguez, Enosil Tejeda and others, and offers up updates and insight into the development of Toru Murata, Shawn Morimando, Juan Romero, Anderson Polanco and more!

Baysox clobber Aeros 10-6

Launching off with the Aeros: 6/18/13 – 7/1/13
Launching off with the Aeros returns after a week hiatus, catching you up on two weeks' worth of Akron Aeros action. The past two weeks were not all that pleasant, as the team dropped 10-of-15 games and fell to fifth place in the Western Division. There was some unsightly pitching, though a newly-named All-Star did his best to carry the staff. That, plus powerful performances from a few outfielders, gave a silver lining to the losing. To find out who these players are and to catch up on all things Akron Aeros, join Jim Piascik and go Launching off with the Aeros.
