When base runners are hard to come by, you have got to make every single one count. That’s exactly what the Syracuse Chiefs did on Sunday afternoon as they defeated the Columbus Clippers 4-1 thanks to some timely hitting, and the home team’s defensive errors.

Around the Farm: May 8, 2014
Some nights, nothing of note happens on the Cleveland sports scene. Others go absolutely crazy (and I'm not just talking about the glorious arrival of Johnny Manziel). The big league team got a win Thursday, but the minor leagues were filled with great performances as well. Adam Plutko put together the best outing of his career, Francisco Lindor hit a huge grand slam, Trevor Bauer continued dealing, and that is just the beginning. Join Jim Piascik as he recaps it all and takes you Around the Farm.

Around the Farm: May 1, 2014
Some nights you just have it. Thursday was certainly one of those nights for Josh Tomlin, as the right-hander was simply dealing. Tomlin had it all as he continues to make his case for a promotion to Cleveland. Clint Frazier also turned some heads, and though he is not making a case for a promotion to Cleveland, the center fielder had an important first Thursday. Join Jim Piascik as he writes about Tomlin, Frazier, and the rest of the action in the minor leagues as he takes you Around the Farm.
