Columbus enters break at .500
No baseball game is without opportunities. If a team expects to win, it’s crucial to take advantage of as many of these opportunities as possible. Thankfully, the Columbus Clippers took advantage of their opportunities Sunday as Matt Kraus details in his game recap.

Rottino joins Columbus looking for a return to the bigs
Vinny Rottino has been through it all during the 2012 season. He started the year off with the Mets Triple A affiliate in Buffao, and had an outstanding start to the season. The Mets called him up to the big leagues, but he struggled in his three-week stint, and was DFA'ed. The Indians claimed him, hoping he may provide an answer at the big league level at some point later in the season. Join Matt Kraus, as he profiles the newest Clippers' player...

McFarland roughed up in 10-5 Clippers loss
This inability to put together any comebacks hurt Columbus (44-45) once more Saturday night, as they fell to the Indianapolis Indians by a final score of 10-5. The Clippers gave up four runs in the first inning, and they were never able to rally back. One of the main factors in this rough first inning was the pitching of Clippers starter T.J. McFarland, who struggled with just about every pitch and batter.

Rottino, Fedroff Lead Clippers Past Indians 10-6
For most of the season, the Indianapolis Indians have been the class of the IL West and the league as a whole. One game doesn’t change much of that, besides a mark in the standings, but the Clippers proved in game one of their series against the Indians Friday night that they can play with the league’s best, winning 10-6.

Clippers put up lots of fireworks in 13-3 rout
The Columbus Clippers (43-43) routed the Toledo Mud Hens (34-52) in Fifth Third Field on Wednesday by a final score of 13-3. There was plenty of offense to go around in this Independence Day contest, as all but one of the Columbus batters came away with at least a hit.
