The Columbus Clippers' seven-game winning streak was snapped Thursday as they dropped a nail biter 8-7 in extra innings to the Syracuse Chiefs at Huntington Park. After an hour and one minute rain delay, the game finally started and boy, was it a rollercoaster ride. Throughout the contest's duration, there were three lead changes and two ties before the Chiefs finally prevailed.

The Columbus Clippers finished their seventh week of the season capturing six wins in the six games played. The Clippers are 28-18 on the year with a six-game win streak, their longest of the year. COLUMBUS- If there were to be a motto for the Columbus Clippers' game against the Scranton/WB RailRiders Tuesday, it would be "bend but don't break." Led by a dazzling performance by right-hander Carlos Carrasco (2-0, 1.36 ERA), the Columbus pitching staff allowed 11 hits to the RailRiders but only gave up one run and emerged with a 5-1 victory.

The Cleveland Indians were not the only team in their organization to win on a walk-off in extra innings Monday, as Chun-Hsiu Chen greeted the International League with a game-winning single to give the Clippers a 6-5, victory over Scranton Wilkes-Barre.

Saturday's action in the minor leagues was headlined by the performances of a few former blue chippers in the Columbus lineup, along with an assist from a journeyman veteran. Meanwhile in Lake County, a starting pitcher turned in his most dominant start to date, while Akron and Columbus struggled to score enough runs to win. It was a perfect ending to a perfect 77 degree night at Huntington Park Saturday. With the game tied at three in the bottom of the ninth inning, Columbus Clippers catcher Chris Wallace delivered a clutch two-out single to right field for a 4-3 walk off victory over the Scranton/WB RailRiders. Right fielder Matt Carson walked to begin the inning and then quickly swiped second to put himself into scoring position. Left fielder Cedric Hunter then laid a sacrifice bunt down the first base line to advance Carson to third. But with one swing of the bat, Wallace became a hero and did so in front of the Clippers’ first sellout crowd of the season.

It was a full slate of action on Friday night as all of the Indians affiliates were back in action. Ezequiel Carrera chipped in with a good all-around showing in Columbus, Tyler Naquin was an on-base machine in Carolina, Charlie Valerio continued his good season to date and more. The Columbus Clippers got a big win on Friday night, thanks to a dominant performance from Clippers starter Brett Brach and some early offense. Brach pitched 7.1 nearly flawless innings for Columbus. He allowed only one run, two walks, and six hits on the evening, and had Chiefs hitters guessing all night long.

The Columbus Clippers needed eleven innings to pick up their second win of the series against the Syracuse Chiefs 4-2 on Thursday Night. The win gives the Clippers the lead in the series, 2-1.

The Columbus Clippers made big plays at the plate Wednesday night to tie the series against the Syracuse Chiefs with a 10-7 victory. The series is now tied 1-1. The Clippers and the Chiefs combined for 26 hits on the night while scoring runs in five of the nine innings played. Despite three errors committed by the Clippers, they sealed the win with four scoreless innings by the Chiefs.
