The streak is over, but the Clippers were able to salvage one of the two games they played against the Toledo Mud Hens Wednesday night. Columbus won game two of the double header, 11-10, after their six-game winning streak ended in game one following a 5-3 defeat.

A lot of people think that being a minor league player or coach is a glamorous lifestyle, but that is far from the truth. The reality is that for those with families it requires a strong commitment from all parties involved while they deal with all of the travel, time apart, ever-changing living arrangements, and low pay. Huntington Park is known around the International League as a field that favors hitters. On Tuesday night against the Toledo Mud Hens, though, the Clippers needed only to walk to get a win. Columbus (55-49) began its nine-game homestand with a 7-4 victory against Toledo on Tuesday at Huntington Park.

The Clippers have back-to-back National Championships to defend, so it shouldn't be a surprise that the Clip-Show is saving their best for the second half. The Clippers won six of the seven games they played in the week, and closed things out with a four-game win streak. Can the Clippers defend their title? The Columbus Clippers won their fifth game in a row, and their seventh in their last eight games, as they swept the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in a shootout, 14-9. Jeanmar Gomez hung around long enough to get the win, but it wasn't pretty, as he gave up eight runs in 5 1/3 innings, on nine hits and a walk.

It was a quick, dramatic and well-pitched contest on Saturday night as the Columbus Clippers (52-49) defeated the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (55-46) by a final score of 4-3. Matt Pagnozzi provided the heroics, with a ninth inning homer to give the Clippers the victory.

LEHIGH VALLEY – The Columbus Clippers (51-49) continued with their winning ways on Friday night as they defeated the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (55-45) by a final score of 6-2. It is the Clippers’ fourth win in the last five games.

Behind one of their best offensive performances of the season Thursday, the Clippers won the final game of their series against Louisville 13-12, but even with the strong output at the plate, the victory did not come easily.

On a night when Huntington Park was celebrating Columbus’ bicentennial, the Clippers (49-49) were dealt a heartbreaking loss to the Louisville Bats (37-62) on Wednesday by a final score of 4-2. Donning light blue uniforms bearing the number “200,” the Clippers were frustrated throughout the night by dominant Bats pitching and a controversial call by the umpires in a critical situation.

Huntington Park was nearly empty, but the noise made in the stands after Jared Goedert drove in the winning run in the 10th inning Tuesday night was as loud as any heard at a Clippers’ home game this season. Columbus rallied from a 4-0 deficit to defeat Louisville, 5-4, on a walk-off RBI single up the middle by Goedert, climbing above the .500 mark and winning its second-straight game against the Bats.

Chris Seddon came within nine outs of recording the second perfect game in team history Monday night, and behind the valiant effort by the Columbus left hander, the Clippers opened up their home stand with a win against the Louisville Bats. While Seddon wasn't perfect, he was certainly good enough to pace Columbus to victory, as the Clippers (48-48) beat Louisville, 8-2.

A new feature being tested out on the IPI today, one that ranks the top 20 performances in the Indians' entire farm system from the past week. Tony gives some thoughts and insight on those performances, a list that includes the likes of Giovanni Soto, Luigi Rodriguez, Jordan Smith, Jeanmar Gomez, Jake Sisco, Matt Packer, Steven Wright, Bo Greenwell and lots more.

One day after the Columbus Clippers and Indianapolis Indians combined for 21 runs on 26 hits, the two teams met again on Sunday afternoon for a much more defensive affair. The Indians defeated the Clippers by a final score of 4-3 to take the three-game series and once again force the Clippers below .500.
