Minor League Spring Game Recap: March 25th
The Cleveland Indians minor league affiliates played their spring games against the Reds' affiliates yesterday, and Tony recaps all the action from the four games on Sunday. Highlights from the game include big days offensively from Chun Chen (pictured), LeVon Washington, and Jesus Aguilar, and on the pitching front T.J. House, Brett Brach and Danny Salazar shined.

Allen could be on the fast track
Indians right-handed pitching prospect Cody Allen made a huge impression last year. Not only did he perform exceptionally well at four combined stops last season, but more importantly he has the stuff to back it up. Tony talked to him out in Goodyear recently, and feels he has jumped squarely into the bullpen prospect picture and could be on the fast track to the big leagues.

Minor League Spring Game Recap: March 24th
The Indians held two intrasquad games on Saturday morning pitting Columbus-Akron and Carolina-Lake County against one another. Tony recaps all the action from both games and provides some thoughts on how some positions are shaking out. Highlights of the day came from Dwight Childs, Scott Barnes, Bryce Stowell, Will Roberts and others.

Minor League Spring Game Recap: March 23rd
After a day off from game action on Thursday the Indians' minor leaguers were back in action with five games on Friday and Tony recaps all the action from each game. Highlights from the games include big offensive performances from Thomas Neal, Karexon Sanchez, Cord Phelps, and Kyle Bellows, and on the pitching front Eric Berger, Steven Wright, Michael Rayl and Robbie Aviles pitched well.

Washington ready to rebound
Indians outfielder LeVon Washington did not have a very good season last year, but several things may have contributed to that. Tony talked to Washington this past week and he feels he is healthy and ready to go this year....and Tony believes it after some things he saw first hand. Tony also provides the first batch of releases from minor league camp.

Wright looking to take the next step with his knuckleball
Indians right-handed pitcher Steven Wright has been in the organization for some time. He picked up a knuckleball over a season a go and pitched with it all last season. Now he is working to make it a more consistent offering and take the next step with getting hitters out on a regular basis in the upper levels of the minors. Tony talked with him in Goodyear to get an update on where he is at with the new pitch.

Minor League Spring Game Recap: March 21st
Here is an update with all of the game action from Indians' minor league camp on Wednesday. Highlights from this day in camp came from LeVon Washington, Jeremie Tice, and Elvis Araujo, and Tony also provides some commentary on each of the 80-90 guys that played and where they may open the 2012 season.

Minor League Spring Game Recap: March 20th
The Indians' minor league affiliates were in action on Tuesday against the Dodgers. Once again close to 100 players were in action between the four games and Tony recaps it all. Highlights of the day were hard throwing right-hander Xavier De Los Santos and outfielder Thomas Neal, and even newcomer Ralph Stoneburner saw some action. After being rained out on Sunday the Indians' minor leaguers were back in action on Monday. Here is a recap of all five games involving over 100 players from Monday, led by huge days from Ronny Rodriguez and Jake Lowery who both had two homer games.

Lowery is excited for his first full season
The Indians do not have much power in their system, but one player that has a powerful bat that could make some noise this year is catcher Jake Lowery. He has looked good so far in minor league spring training, and should land at either Carolina or Lake County to open the 2012 season.

The Indians celebrated St. Patty's Day yesterday with two short intrasquad games. Several players that played may be on the roster bubble as the first round of spring cuts appear to be looming. Armstrong ready for whatever role he gets
There are lots of new faces in Indians’ minor league camp this year, one of which is right-handed pitcher Shawn Armstrong. Tony talked to him briefly this week and looks at his potential role this year and what he needs to work on to become a more complete pitcher.

Myles is off and running this spring
Indians outfield prospect Bryson Myles is already a well known prospect that is in the Indians Top 20 prospect ranking this year. Even with the good standing he is not the type that rests on his laurels, and he wants to continue to strive and do what it takes to increase his value to the Indians even more.
