The Indians have announced today that they have officially signed 24th round pick right-handed pitcher Walker White and 36th round pick right-handed pitcher Benny Suarez.

Today the Cleveland Indians have announced that they have claimed first baseman/left fielder Vinny Rottino off of waivers from the New York Mets. To make room on the 40-man roster for him the Indians have designated right-handed pitcher Chris Schwinden for assignment.

On Friday afternoon the Cleveland Indians announced that they have signed first round pick outfielder Tyler Naquin and second round pick right-handed pitcher Mitchell Brown to minor league contracts.

The Cleveland Indians acquired right handed relief pitcher Esmil Rogers from the Colorado Rockies for cash consideration. To make the move, the Tribe designated Luke Carlin for assignment to place him on the 40-man, and sent Matt LaPorta down to Columbus to clear space on their active roster.

The Indians announced today that they have signed nine players selected in last week's 2012 Draft. In all they signed nine 2012 Draft picks and more are expected in the coming days.

In the 35th round of the 2012 MLB Draft the Cleveland Indians have selected shortstop Nick Hamilton out of Kent State University.

In the 34th round of the 2012 MLB Draft the Cleveland Indians have selected catcher Matthew Fultz out of Lee’s Summit West High School (MO).

In the 33rd round of the 2012 MLB Draft the Cleveland Indians have selected shortstop Cory Raley out of Uvalde High School (TX).
