Sometimes things change, and sometimes they don't. The Indians system is ripe with young talent, and they just keep showing off that talent in big ways. Back in tonight's ATF is one Jared Goedert, who is hitting about .900 this season. Luigi Rodriguez continues to fill the Lake County box score with big numbers as well. Tonight's top slot goes to the best prospect in the system, and I can't wait to see where this kid is rated in the national rankings going forward. Who are we talking about? I know, another great ATF mystery right?

Lindor continues to rake in Lake County, and T.J. McFarland is returning back to the fold as a top prospect. The top star for ATF on Tuesday night is perhaps the best player in the system right now. Jim Pete returns with another edition of IPI's original Around the Farm.

"When it rains, it pours." While this phrase certainly describes the Carolina Mudcats and their fourth rainout in just over a month, it better describes Monday Night's top player. Joseph Colon got his third straight win and his third straight quality start. Luigi Rodriguez begged, borrowed and stole his way on base. But today's top player continued to play above superlatives and hyperbole. The next big thing for the Cleveland Indians is exactly who you think it is, and I have a feeling he's just getting warmed up.

Tim Fedroff is an absolute beast of an outfielder in Double A Akron, and just owns the pitching there. Francisco Jimenez is a starter in Carolina that you likely haven't heard of, and while there's a good reason for that, it may be time to pay attention to this kid. Tonight's top slot in ATF goes to a guy that has definitely NOT left the building. Yes folks, this kid may just be the Tribe's best lefty starter in the entire system. Jim Pete give a very special Mother's Day edition of ATF, where the words are aplenty, and so are the prospects.

Ben Copeland introduced the International League to the long ball, while Thomas Neal continued his recent uptick in production. Tonight's top slot in ATF is a former tenth round draft pick who came into 2012 with a brand new mature attitude. Don't worry folks, he's still creating havoc. Jim Pete returns to ATF for Saturday Night's minor league performances.

Around the Farm - May 11, 2012
It was a quiet night in the Indians farm system. Sure, all four teams were in action, but the results from the night were not very good as three of the four teams lost and there were few standout hitting and pitching performances. One standout hitting performance came from Carlos Moncrief, and Tony discusses him and several others in the IPI morning staple "Around the Farm".

Around the Farm - May 10, 2012
All four affiliates were in action on Thursday night, the first time that has happened in what seems like forever after all the rainouts of late. Tony takes over ATF duties and provides all the highlights from last night's minor league action, most notably T.J. McFarland who had another very good start, Matt LaPorta's struggles to hit on the road, and Cody Allen proving to be human afterall.

Let the rain sing you a lullaby Carolina, as the Mudcats' rainout leaves tonight's ATF a game short. With that said, there was still time for a Luigi to take over the show in Lake County, while Francisco Lindor continues to make a case for Carolina. A starting pitcher named Colon makes an eight-inning statement, and he doesn't weight 350 lbs. But the headliner of tonight's Around the Farm was just about prospect royalty for the Tribe before injuries stole that away, or did it? Jim Pete showcases that very player, after the jump...

You can never have too much quality starting pitching in any minor league system, and the Indians are starting to show some nice depth. On Tuesday night, several starters made an impact. Elvis Araujo had a crisp, short start for Lake County, while Francisco Jimenez went six strong for Carolina. David Huff threw a complete game shut out for Columbus, but was nudged out of the top ATF slot by another top pitching prospect here at IPI. Find out who, and a whole bunch more at IPI's Around the Farm, after the jump...

I'm officially sick of the rain. The Columbus Clippers and the Akron Aeros were both rained out tonight. Combine that with a scheduled off day for the Mudcats, and you have all of one game today in the system. So, call this your Lake County Captains special edition. Tonight's headliner is a long way from the majors, but has the potential to be an important part of the rotation in a few years. Bring out your umbrella, and check out yesterday's MASSIVE list of minor league happenings after the jump...

So, there's this kid named Lindor. Has anyone heard of him? And what about this Goedert kid in Akron? Rumor has it that he can hit the baseball on occasion. While those unknowns made the top three of Sunday Night's ATF, the headliner is an actual surprise. Oh, I'm sure many of you have heard of him, but most haven't paid attention. Check out these fine Indians' prospects, as well as many more...after the jump...

The rain just keeps falling for the Tribe affiliates, as the Mudcats were forced to play another doubleheader tomorrow afternoon after the rain washed out their Saturday night game. That said, Bryson Myles continued to showcase a bat that should have him in High A Carolina soon, and Adam Abraham continued to force Tribe management to take a closer look. Jim Pete returns to ATF for a look at the night's minor league performances.

Around the Farm: May 4, 2012
Columbus was rained out last night, but three other teams were in action. The Indians' two shortstop prospects Ronny Rodriguez and Francisco Lindor at their two lower level affiliates both put on a show. Tony chimes in on how those two did last night and how things are progressing with them, and also touches on several other players in the system.

Around the Farm: May 3, 2012
Lots of action again last night in the Indians' farm system, and as always some good and bad things to note. Tony takes over the reigns of Around the Farm and talks about Big Daddy Aguilar and his big game for the Mudcats yesterday, the excellent outing by Mudcats' starter Mike Rayl, and a whole bunch more.

Around the Farm: May 2, 2012
Matt LaPorta continues to steal the thunder here at ATF, and while it drives this author absolutely insane, it can be nothing but good for the Indians down the road. Jesus Aguilar returned to the spotlight with another big night that should continue his progression. The top slot goes to an under-the-current starter that could very well turn into a top-of-the-rotation star. Jim Pete tears up IPI's Around the Farm: starring Matt LaPorta.

Around the Farm: May 1st, 2012
Weather and off-days have been wreaking havoc on the past two-days ATF's, but the beat still goes on. In 2010, tonight's top player was consider a candidate to take over the third or second base job in Cleveland, thanks to a big minor league season. After a setback thanks to an oblique injury, Jason Kipnis, Lonnie Chisenhall and Jack Hannahan stole his thunder, as he finds himself demoted to Akron. Who's tonight's top gun? Tune into IPI's original ATF to find out...after the jump...

The Indians organization only had two complete games last night, thanks to some rain and fog. Don't worry, one Matt LaPorta didn't let the weather stop him from dominating ATF once again. With Damon making his Tribe debut tonight, can LaPorta be that far behind? Check out last night's abbreviated minor league performances with the latest edition of ATF.

Around the Farm: April 29, 2012
There's some kid named Francisco Lindor tearing it up in Low A Lake County. I've never heard of him, but rumor has it that he can play. T.J. McFarland is starting to regain that top prospect feel in Double A Akron. But the top spot in Today's ATF belongs to the biggest mover in the Indians' system, and a guy that may soon find himself knocking on Cleveland's front door, should he continue dominating out of the bullpen. Jim Pete brings you Sunday's Indians minor league performances in ATF.

Will Roberts is starting to make a name for himself down in Lake County, but the guy that everyone seems to be talking about is Matt LaPorta. LaPorta tops ATF this morning after continuing his International League onslaught. Is it time to move LaPorta back to the bigs, or is this just another indicator of his Andy Marte-disease? Jim Pete returns to the ATF grind with another look at the minor league performances yesterday.

Around the Farm: April 27, 2012
As Michael Corleone once said, "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in." Well, that's kind of how Indians fans feel about Matt LaPorta these days. Many had written him off this season, but now that he is hitting .371 with 6 homers in 18 games for Columbus, people can't help but be intrigued again. Tony discusses him and two dozen more players in the IPI's original Around the Farm.
