Another day of Instructs, that actually took a bit of a backseat to the news of Terry Francona taking over the reigns of the Cleveland Indians. With that said, pitching really took the forefront, as Dylan Baker continued to absolutely dominate the Instructs. Grant Sides is perched to make the same type of move as Cody Allen. Both the Instructional League and Parallel League were in action on Wednesday, and Joe Wendle, Tyler Naquin and Ronny Rodriguez all recorded hits for the Instructional League squad. Joe Sever, Claudio Bautista, Anthony Santander and others made their fall debuts, and Jacob Lee and Jordan Cooper continue to impress with their consistent performances on the mound. Instructional League carries on as today ends the third week of the four week period. The Fall Instructional League players had morning practice and no game yesterday, but the Parallel League team was in action. Tony recaps the game with all the stats and highlights including a big day at the plate from catcher Alex Lavisky and another dominating relief appearance by right-hander Grant Sides.

Both the Fall Development Program and the Arizona Parallel League were in action yesterday in Instructional League, and Tony provides the full breakdown of both games with stats and information from all the players in both games. Players like Alex Monsalve, D'Vone McClure, Jake Lowery, Jake Sisco, Grant Sides, and others all had good games yesterday.

The Fall Development League was off yesterday, but the Parallel League which has the older more advanced players in Instructional League was in action. The Akron Aeros continued their improbable run at a title. You could make a case that this team had the least amount of talent as any to start the season. At the end of the year, they had the best record of any team in the system. After falling behind two games to none in the first series, they ran off five games in a row, and are now one game away from the Eastern League Title.
